Thompson Cigar CompanyReviews of thompsoncigar.com

I ordered, they fulfilled, cigars were great. They have a wide selection of cigars an when I ordered the cigars were in great shape an smoked perfect. My orders come in with in a timely manner an the quality is always on pare. They have all the top rated favorites including some in between. Prices seem to be pretty competitive also, may not be as easy as going down to the local smoke shop cause a quick stop into the smoke shop you get it then a there but the selection is worth it, not to mention they have certain sticks that nobody has in smoke shops near me. They have what your looking for an for very competitive prices l

I swore a couple years ago I would not buy from cigars from Thompson again. I decided to give them one more chance due to sales and a cigar I wanted for a Christmas gift. Placed the order and after 10 days of not receiving a shipping notice I contacted Thompson. My order showed cancelled. I was told there was a problem with the payment. Um…..it was with PayPal and already paid? I was then told I need to call their number to discuss it with them. I then told them don’t worry about it, I’ll buy elsewhere. When I tried to go back to my orders page I found out I had been locked out and received an email stating my password was changed. I did not change it, evidently when I used the chat feature to find out what happened to my order, I became locked out of my account. Never again will I trust Thompson with my purchases. The customer service is horrible.

I consider 10+minutes too long to answer a customer

I have bought literally thousands of cigars from Thompson Cigar over a period of several years. Since 2021 I noticed that some of the cigars that were purchased in five packs or other loose cigars that were packaged with others, burned poorly even though they were name brand cigars, such as Cohiba and Macanudo. I believe that Thompson purchases seconds from the manufacturers, receives them as loose cigars and sells them without disclosing that they are imperfect. I will no longer be buying from Thompson because about thirty percent of the cigars I've purchased over the last year or so are too poorly constructed and don't smoke well. What good is a 30% discount if you can't smoke 30% of the cigars?

Failed to deliver order. Took 3 weeks to resolve and then refund was net of shipping. Awful experience all around. One star is too generous.

Outstanding customer service, product selection and price. Long-time customer. Will be back. Cheers.
