We made it our mission to enhance the human journey. Every effort to source the world's most supportive footwear is guided by the simple idea that walking makes life better, for everyone, everywhere, every day.The Walking Company began in 1991, when a group of California entrepreneurs saw growing demand for shoes that were genuinely comfortable and genuinely well made. They founded the business with one goal: to lead in comfort footwear. In the early years we focused on curating premium comfort brands known for supportive construction and quality craftsmanship. As the comfort and wellness category grew through the 2000s, we expanded into an extensive range of footwear designed to relieve foot pain and support everyday well-being, and became a leading destination for customers who want style without giving up comfort.Three principles sit behind everything we sell: comfort, support and recovery. Every product we carry has to deliver on at least one, and the best deliver on all three.When we could not find products that met that standard at an accessible price, we built our own. ABEO, our premium line, was developed from millions of customer foot scans and features metatarsal support designed to relieve pressure and pain. Our orthotics range covers pain relief, arch support, cushioning and stability, and our comfort and support footwear system pairs the shoe with an orthotic base, so support comes built in rather than sold as an afterthought. Customers can then upgrade to the orthotic that suits their feet. Alongside our own brands, we continue to carry carefully selected third-party brands that meet the same three standards.We also know that comfort is personal. Fit questions, sizing questions and questions about which orthotic suits a particular foot are the ones we get most often, and our team is here to answer them by chat, by phone or in store. The ABEO SOLEIL CROSS in Metallic Gold…
The ABEO SOLEIL CROSS in Metallic Gold are beautiful sandals! I bought them for a spring cruise. I have a very high arch and usually wear Birkenstocks all summer, which are sometimes too casual. These sandals will be comfortable for any walking excursions, and classy to wear with summer dresses. I will probably buy a pair in black as well.

Helpful customer service reps
I made my first purchase with you and the boots were too big and you didn't have a size smaller so I called about returning them and the customer service rep helped me find a different pair in my size that I didn't see when looking by myself, so she placed the order for me. She was very helpful!

I ordered two items from the Walking…
I ordered two items from the Walking Company website and received only one of the two. I called the company and was told they would look into it by Jess. I have yet to hear anything about my second item . I am not looking forward to making another call but I will. By the way, my credit card was charged for both items right away.
