This is a SCAM! Run. I ordered a bag for my husband for his birthday. Upon receiving the bag, I realized it could not look any more different than the one advertised. We love the look of true leather, have always purchased true leather bags as they last a lifetime with proper care and understand leather variations. As someone who has years of experience of working with true leather, we can attest that in this case the bag appearance was really farfetched from the one that was advertise. However, we wanted to give the company benefit of the doubt and consider an alternative from their site. My husband selected a different bag from this site and we requested an exchange. At first, the customer service folks asked us if instead of the exchange we could just keep the bag at a $50 discount. We explained that it is not the price but the look of the bag that is the reason for the return, so we would still like to move forward with the exchange. Personally, I find it odd suggesting to pay almost $200 for something that a customer would not use, but oh well... They informed us that an exchange was processed, we would need to ship the item back to them and they will charge us the difference for the exchange bag we liked. This is where things took even a bigger turn, while we were still in possession of the bag their customer service team was responding to us, but once we sent the bag back we have received zero response. We have sent them what feels like a million follow up messages and no one ever gets back to us. It has been months and no support in regards to this. So ultimately, we have been scammed for over $200 without receiving a proper purchase item in return. Please do not buy from here and spread the word about these SCAMMERS!

Terrible company. Bag is ok for the money. Hardware is cheap. They act like they have a return policy but they are never giving your money back.

I went to great lengths to ship this messanger bag for my daughter who wanted it for university. She ordered 'The Rugged'. What a rip off! The shape is not like it is in the picture, the colour is completely different, the lining is cheap and badly finished as are the zips and buckles, which actually made a mark on the leather. The notches were you slide in the buckle prong did not fit it and you have to kind of screw them in!!!!!!! What an abysmal inferior and disappointing bag for 288 dollars! Do not buy from this company!!!!

I requested some information about the lining of The Morgan. There is a neon blue lining and a few other colors of linings shown. I emailed a question informing the company that I did not like the blue lining color. I asked about getting the bag with the lining in the other colors. The Real Leather Company sent a response the next day. I was informed that the lining color was in one color only. I emailed back pointing out that the website shows other lining colors in the photographs. I asked if the description online was deceptive. I asked if the deceptive description online was also reflected in a deceptive quality of the product. CRICKETS. No response from The Real Leather Company. I am grateful that Trustpilot is available to get honest reviews of products. The comments from others are very helpful. The lack of response from The Real Leather Company is consistent in the reviews posted here.

The bag was beautiful and well made. Purchased for my husband as a birthday gift. He wasn't crazy about the style so we looked around on the website for an exchange to no avail. Have contacted TRLC repeatedly for return instructions per their return policy on the website. They responded promptly the first time with an offer to exchange. When I wasn't interested they refuse to respond to the many follow ups I've sent. Their return policy allows for 30 days. The bag shipped from China and took over a week to receive - I'm certain they're hoping to just run out the clock so they won't have to honor the return. Buyer Beware!!

American company?????, absolutely not. They try to pass themselves off as a American company and there is not a phone number or address that is located in the US. The return policy states that some items may require the customer to pay for international shipping. If they were located in the US, why would you have to pay for international shipping. Only buy from American companies. I suspect they are located in China.

I ordered a product called The West End, a messenger bag. It was advertised as being "Full Grain" leather. Spoiler alert: It was not at all, it's Genuine leather which is the difference between mahogany and particle board in the leather world. For the $244 that I paid for it, it's definitely not even remotely worth the price. I had to wait 9 days for shipping as it came from Colombia. I noticed that the bag itself is actually from another line called The Dover Collection, whcih is just resold by The Real Leather Company. The retail price on dovercollection.com is $190. A full $59 cheaper than the same falsely advertised bag on therealleathercompany.com. It took quite a bit of back and forth to get my refund. And I of course had to pay return shipping to some apartment in Miami. I wouldn't go so far as to say this company is criminal but I would say that you get much less than you pay for. I was waiting over a week for my refund and eventually left a negative review on their product page. It was of course deleted and my refund was issued that same day just hours later.

This company uses only positive reviews on their website. I purchased "The Jones" and have utilized it on several trips. The good news - I like the bag - it's well thought out with lots of room for my computer, ipad, etc. The bad news - the bag is made poorly. The lining used is cheap - almost like burlap. The leather strap is too weak for the bag and stretches out to where it is unuseable. The zippers in the bag are cheap and prone to open. For the price this bag is poorly made and the reason I am reviewing them here is their approach to reviews on their website where they asked me for a review and when I wrote the truth about their bag they deleted it - twice. So - don't trust their reviews.
