It’s very relaxing for my dogs

This is a retraction of my previous review. My refund experience was not easy and with only a partial refund. I am thrilled that I gave this calming unit a go. I have 2 gregarious Basset Hounds, one that gets nervous. Even after a few days I am seeing a difference. I was also very impressed with Customer Service as they guided me with a USPS wrongful delivery.

I have a little shih tzu, Penny who is terrified of Thunderstorms. She gets extremely anxious, panting, pacing and uncontrollable shakes. Our vet prescribed a sedative to give her that takes effect in about 30 minutes and the first time i gave her the prescribed dose, I thought I had killed her, she was so drugged. Even cutting the dose in half was to upsetting for me, seeing how it put her out. I purchased calming blanket and ear muffs and while it helped somewhat, I still had to hold her and walk around the house until the storm passed. Then I saw ad for Thermapetmd and while I was skeptical, I decided it was worth trying. The week it arrived we had rolling thunder and rain for hours and it continued for 3 days. I was expecting the usual panic attack, But it never came. Not only was I was so surprised, so were friends who know how she reacts. My diffuser has been plugged in ever since. I'm a believer and just placed my second order.

My 7-year-old spaniel rescue went through some rough times before he came home to me. (The diffuser tends to last a bit longer than 30 days, so I keep an eye on the level in the unit and change it accordingly.) Within a day or two, I noticed that my dog was calmer around the house, not so excited when strangers walked by. He stopped lunging at the sliding glass patio doors, and he doesn't bark so frantically. He's still protective, but now it's a normal response. His reaction to thunderstorms is so much better, too! He rarely hides now, only when there's a particularly big bang. Fireworks are no big deal, either. These days, my little guy is content and affectionate, and much of the credit goes to TheraPetMD pheromone therapy for this wonderful transformation. Their product is as essential as any preventive meds that benefit and protect my dog. And safer than a tranquilizer! P. S. My vet uses pheromone diffusers in the exam rooms. That's proof positive that the therapy can benefit most pets.
