I own several MeatSticks and use them all, picking the right one for whatever I’m cooking. I usually go for the latest model because they keep adding more advanced features and extra sensors, so you get more detailed temperature data while you cook. I’ve had a few issues with some of the older models, but their customer support has been excellent—easy to work with, and they’ll either replace the product or help you fix the problem without a hassle. One way or another, they make sure the issue gets resolved.

Update (07/27/26): With the assistance of MeatStick’s Help Center, I found that the second stick was hidden in a secret compartment that you wouldn’t notice unless you knew it was there. Please place the second stick in the designated slot or include instructions explaining where it is. Original Review (07/24/26): I ordered the double-stick model, but only one stick was visible when I opened the case, and the second stick slot was empty!

When I reached out for product support I received an initial response within 24 hours, from there the representative I spoke with was quick to reply, and very easy to talk to. No AI chatbots at The MeatStick.

The new MeatStick V Duo is a great upgrade, offering faster temperature readings and a much quicker response time from prep to the end of the cooking process. Having used several previous MeatStick models—including the MeatStick X Travel Set, MeatStick Chef X, and MeatStick 4X—I can confidently say this version brings some meaningful improvements. Setup is incredibly simple: just remove the probe, insert it into your food, and you’re ready to cook. There’s no lengthy setup process, and the probe reconnects to your phone quickly and reliably, so you don’t have to worry about connectivity issues. One of my favorite features is its compact design. Unlike some competitors, it doesn’t require an additional device to use Wi-Fi monitoring when you’re away from the cooking area. The convenience and portability make it easy to use almost anywhere. I also appreciate the 5-point temperature sensing technology, which provides more accurate readings throughout the food. This helps dial in cooks with greater precision and confidence. I recently used the MeatStick V Duo to cook a tomahawk steak, and it turned out incredible. I smoked it until it reached the perfect internal temperature, then finished it with a hot cast-iron sear for an amazing crust. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Having accurate, real-time temperature readings made it easy to nail the cook without second-guessing when it was time to sear.

I’ve purchased several versions of the meatstick over the years. When I had issues they were very responsive and helpful. My latest purchase was the MeatStick V Duo. I had an issue where the base did not display the temps but still sent the temps to the app on my phone. They replaced the base for me and I’ve had no issues since. I use them 5-10 times each month and they work great.
