Will not buy this product. Awful customer experience. The probe stopped working and they said it got too hot in the grill. No other issues with other brands.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. MeatStick probes are designed to operate within specific temperature limits, and exposure beyond those limits can damage the internal components and cause the probe to stop working, either immediately or later. We understand how frustrating this was. Please reach out to our support team if you’d like us to review the case with you again.

This product does not deserve a 3.9 score perhaps a 1.9 at the most of 2.0
Before I start my review I wanna acknowledge that the meat stick version that I bought has been in the garbage for a couple of years now. My issues with it were that in order to charge it it had to be in their little case which you couldn’t plug-in you had to use AA batteries and then when I get ready to go Cook my probes are always dead. I noticed that there used to be a charging port but apparently they did away with that to use a couple AA batteries. That was real genius thinking. Yes I’m going to be sarcastic. Anyway when you call customer service they spend all this time with you and it was appreciated but at the same time if you’ve made a product so complicated then you’ve lost a lot of customers. It should simply be charge the probes up the probe should always be ready for your Cook and simply connected to the system and it works. But when you gotta sit there and watch this green light does what this red light does this yellow light does. I don’t have time for that the Bluetooth on it and Wi-Fi are sketchy at best. My main reason for even doing this review was that I couldn’t believe that this product got a 3.9 rating which tells me that the people are in these reviews are probably being paid to do it. Of course I’ll be fair it’s been at least three years since I used a meat stick. The last time I used it I cleaned the probes making sure that they were clear of any kind of debris on the probe and at the end of the probe were the connecting ChargePoint were. I then plugged it up all night it got a good 12 hour charge and I stuck one probe in and no problem at all it worked fine. But the other one showed a full charge when I’ve plugged it in and 30 minutes later it’s saying it’s going dead and I had already been dealing with customer service who again were nice but I realize this product deserve to go in the trash. I might add that I went on Amazon and I found an all in one dual probe device and I’ve had it now for three years I’ve never had an issue out of it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your experience with your older MeatStick did not meet expectations, especially with charging, battery readiness, and connectivity.
We understand how frustrating it can be when a product does not feel simple or reliable during a cook. Since it has been several years since you last used The MeatStick, our products and app experience have continued to change over time, and we still appreciate hearing where the experience fell short for you.
If you ever have any questions or decide to give The MeatStick another try, we’ll be here to help.

Do not buy
I received my meatstick for my birthday in 2024 and it doesn't work anymore. Now it turns out that it was already in the store in 2022, so it is no longer under warranty. The stick, on the other hand, has also been used very little (see the specifications). The problem is that the battery in the pen is not heat-resistant! And yet they want to give a discount on a new stick; very bad. I would therefore not recommend it; it breaks easily and they don't know what goodwill is there.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it is when a product stops working.
After reviewing your case, the device was first activated and used in 2022, which places it outside our warranty coverage. That’s why we’re unable to offer a free replacement.
Given the age of the unit, the battery has likely deteriorated. This is a normal characteristic of rechargeable batteries, as their capacity decreases over time, similar to devices like smartphones or AirPods.
The discount offered is intended as a goodwill option to help with a replacement in situations like this, even when the product is out of warranty.

It says my order was delivered on March…
It says my order was delivered on March 4 th and I still have not received it as of the 19th. A replacement as supposedly been shipped but have not received it yet either.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating this must be. We can see both your original order and replacement are marked as delivered, and since you haven’t received either, we’re investigating this further.
Our support team will be reaching out to you directly to get this resolved.

They will not replace a faulty product
I bought a couple of their sticks, one never worked, failed mid cook. Months later they are still refusing to replace it. I have sent pictures, cleaned it over and over, and they continue to gaslight me even though they said it was covered they refuse to replace it. I have 20 emails, pictures and a whole lot of stupid hoops they get me to jump through. Over and over. Nasty people to deal with plus a lousy product.

We’re sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been.
Our goal is to resolve issues as quickly as possible. In cases like this, we do need to go through a few checks to identify the cause before sending a replacement. From the photos shared earlier, there was visible buildup on the metal cap, which can prevent proper contact with the charger and lead to connection or charging issues.
Once the cap was cleaned and the issue was confirmed to be with the Stick itself, a replacement was arranged.
We understand the process may have felt repetitive, but these steps are necessary to reach the right resolution.

Stay away from this piece of junk!
I bought a MeatStick 4X on sale, thinking I was getting a good deal; ended up wasting my money.
The probe was finicky and uncooperative from the beginning. Would not connect, would not be found by the app, would drop the connection--sometimes silently!--while in use. Sometimes I couldn't even get started, sometimes I had to resort to another thermometer; I nearly destroyed some fine (and not cheap) pieces of meat. Absolutely unreliable. The few times that I managed to use it, the base was literally taped to the handle of the oven door, which was the only distance it had a chance of working without dropping the connection too often or too long. Aboslutely useless with the barbecue with the lid on, drops the connection even from 25-30 cm away.
The app has an impressive main screen, but the functionality is poorly designed and buggy. Instructions are inconsistent. Messages and warnings may or may not be true, and the connection to the probe may or may not be active. It even misidentified my probe several times and thought I had the five-sensor model...
Customer service are very responsive and very forthcoming with all sorts of excuses; they excel at blaming everything other than the device they sell. They are quick to blame the problems on the phone, the OS, bluetooth, distance, whatever.
After a while (maybe 15 times I tried to use it, maybe 5 or 6 with at least some success) the probe just died. Completely unresponsive. After spending three sets of batteries to go through all the troubleshooting suggested by the web pages and then customer service, they decided that it was my fault because I rinsed it while "too warm" and thereby destroyed it. Specifically, I used 25-degree water on a 60-degree probe (according to the recorded temperature chart, which I have no reason to doubt). A device meant to work in the oven, "dishwasher safe" with "dual-shell high durability" (I am copying from the box) will not withstand a temperature difference of 35 degrees centigrade because it will crack. Go figure.
As noted above, you are well advised to stay away!

Had a problem with the meatstick
Had a problem with the meatstick. Tried to call them, this is when I found out they don't have a phone nu.ber to be able to talk to costumer service, not even an email address just a phone number to text them. They ask for me to explain the problem and to send them several pictures of the meatstick and of the charger. I did and the reply was they would give me a thirty percent off if I buy a new on and that was it. My meatstick was still under the one year warranty. Never worked that great anyway so no I would not recommend to anyone to buy this product

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’d like to clarify a few points.
While we don’t offer phone support, we do provide full assistance via email, and we were in contact with you by email regarding this issue. We asked for details and photos so our team could properly review the Stick and charger, which you provided.
After reviewing the information available, the issue appeared to be related to battery deterioration. Based on the first recorded usage, the Stick is at least three years old. With regular use and repeated charging cycles, all rechargeable batteries naturally lose some of their capacity over time. This is similar to what you may experience with devices like smartphones or AirPods as they age.
We understand how frustrating this can be. While this type of wear isn’t covered under warranty, we offered a 30% discount on a replacement as a gesture of goodwill.

Aldrig om jeg vil købe en MeatStick igen. Den virker kun vært anden gang, og skal opsættes op ny når man skal bruge den…..👎
Virker som om det er et produkt fra “Temu”….

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience. If your Stick only works every other time, that definitely shouldn’t be happening, it should appear in the app whenever it’s working properly.
However, you do need to set up a new cook each time you use it. That’s normal and part of how the app tracks each session. If the Stick isn’t working, please reach out to our support team at https://tms.fyi/help, so we can take a closer look and get this resolved for you
