unacceptable communication, Lies, and shipment time (If at all) pretty much describes The Lampster's business ethos. I know the difficulties and delays of bringing a product to market but being transparent with costumers and financial backers is key. When you have a great product - people will purchase it, but it takes more than just a great product to keep a business afloat. Many of which many of which these guys have yet to figure out. Don't promise a delivery window if you cannot follow through. Don't lie to costumers/backers. Don't make un-backable excuses when questioned. Although they were able to design a feasible and great looking product; they obviously have no idea what they are doing in fulfilling their orders. The only thing that makes me believe that they are not a complete scam is that they are updating their social media accounts. As someone that loves innovation and design I love ideas like this - but am highly dissatisfied with the prolonged delays in getting the product that was promised.

The product is very good. A funny idea. Very good workmanship. Well thought out. And the app is a nice on top. The customer service is unfortunately not so good.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been emailing 'Marilena Iordache' for months and have gotten no where and I have not received a reply from the Lampster for months...complete fraud. Kickstarter must have some responsibility...I ordered 8 of these custom Lampsters...if you want an example of how not to treat your customers this would be it....

I realise there have been many unhappy people with this project and I waited years for my 4 lamps. I did eventually get them delivered though and despite one of them having to need a replacement part which I am told will be sent to me I have to say the lamps themselves are extremely cool. I have one on a reception desk and it draws a lot of comments and is constantly photographed. Personally it has been well worth the wait even though it was longer than I first thought. However I am still waiting for the Holus I backed on Kickstarter long before I backed Lampster and it was a good deal more expensive. I think it is unlikely I will ever back another Kickstarter project but that is because of the way Kickstarter absolve themselves of any responsibility when they should offer a better service to all parties for their considerable share.

Backed the lampster three years ago- and never received the product- while on the other hand, some shop sell the lamp already. One may say something went wrong on my side- the reality is: most of the several thousand backers haven’t received the lampster. As I am writing for a swiss online newspaper with some reach I decided to write an article about the lampster and other kickstarter failures (e.g. troja bike). Hopefully this will prevent other tapping into the same trap as I did ... Guy P.S. : Dear reader- don‘t believe that a message saying that the Lampster contacted me (or similar) that will soon appear below this post will mean anything. The Lampster is just pretending to care- one can reply to these emails- nothing will ever happen.

Now, everybody know how the campaign have been managed ... no need to say more so i'll talk about the lamp. I received mine and i have to say that they're awesome. The lamps was well packed and nothing was broken. Assembly is easy ( do not forget the little washer for the head ) and once filled with cat litter ( or sand or anything similar ) they're really steady , and the app is easy to use. Bad campaign management but great product. My kids love them

and they are still acting the same way, on kickstarter and here. same same same "pls contact here or there or anywhere" etc.... but never ever a real answer. must be bots, maybe even marilena is a bot no details, only blabla terrible experience and its still not finished edit: now they wanted infos i gave more than once, they confirm that they are only acting this way :-( edit2: now in contact i hope that my lamp arrives in some weeks. let's be hopeful. update: after receiving the item with a wrong neck, i got in contact and after one week i got the replacement. its a nice lamp and now i am glad that that journey is over (at least for me). so now 2 stars because the still are not able to communicate with their financiers.

I am someone who was lucky enough to have received a lamp. I like the lamp, but I refuse to give them any positive reviews as they are rude, terrible customer service, and yes...scammers.I had to pay lots of extra $$ for a different lamp than I originally wanted after constantly contacting them for years... yes years!!!. I figured something is better than nothing as thousands still wait in the dark with no end in sight. They simply are scammers. They lie about dates, run you into circles with communication, and simply ignore you and their many backers. I'm not making this up as their lies are a matter of public record. If you are looking to buy one, DON'T!!! That is, unless when you hand them money they hand you a lamp. Don't "order" anything. ** update see their reply below. Typical that they ignore the very critical portion and don’t address their pathetic lying!! The fact you can answer here but not provide an update to thousands awaiting something that they paid for 3+ years ago shows complete lack of concern. Scammers! I had to pay a LOT extra just to see it.
