LampsterReviews of thelampster.com

The lamp is super cute. It was a very long wait, but it was all worth it in the end. I can only imagine how hard is to find millions of tractor headlights so I can understand the delay. Marilena is also very responsive to the emails and awesome to deal with. I am very happy with the lamp and would buy another if I have the chance. I did get a broken lense although this is entirely the fault of UPS however Marilena told me she was going to expedite a replacement ASAP. I actually don't have any complains at all. The new app is coming also which I hope it'll be as awesome as the lamp. Anyways, very cool project and people. Everyone here loves this little guy. Once Lampster is not as overwhelmed I might buy a few more for gifts and another one for myself. It's so awesome! By the way, the manual is so cute also the sack it comes with. The whole thing was very thought out.

December 2015 I placed my order. Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 via contact at thelampster dot com Marilena Lordache said I was going to get a delivery in the next batch. Then radio silence I pinged them every 30 days then on June 5th 2018. Then 75 days after I was promised to be shipped they said, "Thank you for contacting The Lampster Help Desk. We've received your request and will get back to you with a response as quickly as possible." Still nothing just the run around on FB such as "My colleague has mentioned that they ship by regions and colors." or "I am sorry but we cannot issue refunds on pledges." "I don't have an estimate on every order as they are group shipped by color and region. Thank you." "We are almost done with the UK shipment and we will have an update with estimates for the next regions in line and colors confirmed for the next shipments after we will be done with these current deliveries. We know it has been such a long wait and we can’t thank you enough for your patience with our project."

Update: I got - after 3 years - now my lampster. It's really a cool product and looks great on my desk. Somehow the feeling is like when you see the kids who did a bad joke with you, first you are angry (here because of the too long delivery time) but when you see the result and how cute it looks you cant be angry anymore. For all who are still waiting: keep going, you will love the product when you finally get it.

July 20, 2017 - I contacted the Lampster support team and they mentioned I would get my tracking number when the product was ready to ship. Nothing since then, I’ve tried to reach out and have only been ignored. I have moved three times since I backed this project, I’ve gotten married and will have a kid in April - still no lampster. What in the holy hell are you guys doing? We try to be supportive and know it takes time, but this has turned to complete garbage, $200 for them to neglect and blow us all off.

I contacted Lampster in late October/early November to ask about the possibility of receiving my Lamp by Christmas. They told me about separate batches they ship that would accommodate my request. They informed me that my color options were a little limited, but it turned out that the one I wanted was an option. Through Facebook Messenger, I was able to communicate with them frequently to get status updates. There were times that I thought I might not receive the lamp by Christmas and wasn't sure the quick turn around would be possible. However, they were able to get it made, shipped and delivered to me right before Christmas. They were always very attentive to my messages and got back to me timely. I understand a lot of people have waited a long time to receive their product, and that was a concern I had prior to ordering this for my husband. But I am happy to say that "Lampy" has arrived and is now a permanent fixture in our family.

Ordered my Lampster after the KickStarter phase in an conventional order. Payed by credit card over 3 years ago. Never got a delivery date nor any updates regarding my order. No customer service at all on any inquiries. No updates even today. I wish to cancel and refund if possible. Regularly updates on shipments and produced amounts shouldn't be an issue at all for a proper company. What a scam!

I ordered over 1,200 days ago. Estimated delivery: Jun 2016. I keep getting told this will ship next quarter then it gets pushed out again. Really terrible customer service. The scurge of crowd funding. I bet they got out of business before I ever get delivery.

Cool product, but serious issues with the logistic part. After waiting for 3 years I received my Lampster. It’s a really cool looking lamp, but I’m afraid it wasn’t worth the price tag. The app doesn’t recognize the Lampster most of the time with iOS 12. If the guys would acknowledge their issues and made the app useful or maybe even open source, this lamp would fit neatly in my smart home, which I control from one place. I now have to turn on/off the lamp manually, the first world horror!
