UK backer here. Got a black artsy last week. I have been harsh many times regarding this project but the final product is amazing!! The paint job is incredible, the head is metal and its really big and heavy and the whole package is first class. As a fellow backer said the little engine sound at start up made me smile. Thank you for a very cool product!

Backed the original project on Kickstarter, for 2 lampsters. And yeah, it took a good long while to get them, and was even a good few months in between each one, with different colours, but Kickstarter is about backing projects and people that have a great idea and are trying to get up and running, problems are going to happen, delays happen, especially when they got sooo many pledges, but I much prefer to wait for a good product and enjoy it for a long time, than get something that is a shadow of what was shown and always be disappointed. I love my lampster, I got a red artsy and a black artsy (for my sister), and use the red as a bedroom light, makes me smile all the time. He’s really a good size, large but with a smallish foot print (so to speak) and the light from it is great, I mainly use the touch button on his head for the white light (and you can change the brightness from the button too, long press etc) it’s quick and efficient, but have played with the app to get the colours going on occasion. As a design piece he’s excellent, it’s not just a light that you can buy for cheap in a store, he’s a statement as well as a functional piece. I’m considering another one currently, so that should tell you how I feel about him!

This is an updated review not on the product yet as I am still waiting but on the customer service. Lampster customer service is trying to be more communicative and I appreciate that. Had a great conversation with their Facebook messenger support updating where they are at. This has been the best interaction yet and renewed confidence in them. Will update review when I do receive mine but for now much happier with the customer service.

Great customer service for a fantastic product. Only downside was slow delivery. But fast support has made it worth it.

Have received the package on Friday. I opened it today and is great. If i wouldn't have waited for so long it would be incredible. Lamp is 5/5, app 5/5 (ios) , delivery ... :)) I am really happy with my new Lampster!

Purchased in late 2015 when they indicated June 2016 delivery. Currently March 2019 with no indication of when I'll receive my lamps. My suggestion is to not engage with this company.

This product is absolutely awesome. It took a while to receive but the wait time is truest worth the wait! These guys put their heart and soul into making their product. I really like the little rubber feet that come with the lampster, and the app is fantastic, the little engine starting when you turn it on made me giggle. You can change the color of your lamps light through your phone, and it will actually sync the light to music. How cool is that?!? Thank you for all the work you guys did! It’s truly an amazing product, and I wish you all the best in the future

It is clear to me that the bad average score for the Lampster is mainly due to the late delivery and the vagueness in their public communications. There is something to be said for that, but my rating is 4/5 however, and this is solely related to the lamp itself. I personally believe that it is the product that should be rated here, and not the customer service or logistics, although I will comment on them as well. The Lampster is cool, has a great design and simply works very well. The amount of different colours is unreal, the touchbutton on top of the head is very responsive and controlling the lamp via the app generally works well. The lamp doesn't get hot at all, which also means the Lampster works as a nice stand for my headphones. :) I have had some issues with connectivity and some functions in the app, but nothing that could not be solved in the end, or that I think is very relevant for me. This is where I have deducted the one star though. What I am left with is a really nice item in my living room that is both functional and a conversation piece. Worth the price of 166 USD if you ask me. Regarding logistics: Yes, I did have to wait almost three years, like so many people. And No, if I had known that beforehand I would not have backed the project. But what is done is done, and in the end the product itself is worth 4 out of 5 stars to me. Lastly: Customer Service has been kind to me. I have contacted them via Facebook Messenger several times, and they have been responsive and helpful.
