Although TJS is quite the investment, they delivered on exactly what they said they would. When I hired them, I was unsure of what my next career move should be and I was feeling stuck and confused. Through their process and help from their top-notch coaches, I was able to narrow down the type of role and industry that would be the right fit for me. From there, we devised and executed a strategy to land my dream job. Within 8 weeks, I was working in a completely different industry in a senior role, earning 30% more than I was at my previous job. Best of all, I feel motivated and excited to go to work everyday. You will definitely get what you put into it and it's not always easy, but I learned so much about myself and the experience has been invaluable. The Job Sauce has my highest recommendation, it changed my life for the better!

Top notch resume writing
Lauryn was very helpful. I felt that she was in tune with my experience and needs within the first 10 minutes of speaking with her. The resume she delivered looks better than I had thought it could and I feel more confident going forward.

I was unemployed at the time I hired …
I was unemployed at the time I hired Job Sauce. I felt like I was throwing resumes around and not getting any positive feedback.
Everything with Coach LaTonya went great! She had me keeping on track and focused on what I needed to focus on. Especially the coaching call for the mock interview for the opportunity I ended up taking. I got a 30% raise over my last position and out of about a dozen candidates, I nailed the interview and landed the opportunity.
Coach LaTonya helped me get past my nervousness and play to my strengths. By the time I went into the interview, I felt like I had already landed the job so it was no surprise when I got the offer.
Not settling changed my mentality about looking for work. It made me feel like I was worth something, instead of just some desperate guy hoping to land the first job that came my way.
Probably best of all though had nothing to do with my career and everything to do with life. I really thought that the morning routine, including the gratitude bit, improved my life tremendously!
It was worth every penny as I got a huge salary increase in relation to my last position. Plus (more importantly), now I feel like I'm moving forward in my career instead of side-to-side.

Resume was not very impressive and strategy call is a sales tactic.
After several long conversations with management from The Job Sauce (TJS), I am keeping my rating the same (2-star) but feel there should be some clarification to be fair to TJS. Besides, she asked I revise my review!
Up front, TJS is extremely responsive and despite their very odd hours of operation, they do respond. The hours of correspondence were one of the issues. My meeting call time options were all at between 3am-5am during weekdays (I am on PST, so no time difference). We made this work, so not a major issue, but inconvenient and very odd/unprofessional for a business call.
The resume was originally given back to me after a week with a litany of errors and grammar issues. I was told this was due to a new system and received the resume back with the grammar errors fixed. The second version of the resume was fair but still had flow issues and was generally unimpressive, with some bullet points not making much sense. Overall, the resume was a copy/paste job of my general federal resume with some minor changes and sections moved.
I cannot really comment on the LinkedIn services, as I was told to keep it the same but move a section from the new resume onto the bottom of the page. I did this, but it looked out of place so I reverted. Perhaps a style issue and I don't have much of an opinion on it either way.
The strategy call was probably the largest point of contention. The call was an hour and felt genuine until the end. Despite the insistence of TJS, this is not a strategy call but more of a, "You are a great fit for our program" sales technique to get you to drop another $5,000 for a lunch interview with a company. There were no strategies discussed here that didn't involve me paying large sums of money for a job--not an actual strategy call based on the services already rendered. You are being solicited to pay for a job interview, so if that is your intent then they can probably help you with that.
I did not ask for a refund, because I paid for a resume service and consider the strategy call an extra, even if it is just a sales tactic. Based on other interviews on this site, this service may be great for you if you are a mid-career professional living near a large corporation center (Seattle or California) and are out of options for getting out of where you are working, it is just going to cost you.

Hi Nick- I’m so sorry that your experience with the end of your strategy call was off-putting. We overwhelmingly receive the feedback that the call was invaluable for gaining additional clarity on an ideal next step, overcoming obstacles, and setting new strategy, but it’s clear this was not your experience. This feedback is valuable to us, so thank you for sharing.
I’d like to clarify that our career coaching program is much more than a “lunch interview at a company." We are not a recruiting agency and do not receive payment from companies for placements. Our coaches are the best of the best, as evident by the reviews on this site, and our average client raise is well over 30%, frequently landed in 2 months time. And as a recent client put it, "(more importantly), now I feel like I'm moving forward in my career instead of side-to-side."

I would highly recommend The Job Sauce …
I would highly recommend The Job Sauce for career consulting expertise! Their hands-on approach to role-playing and recording potential screening conversations, interviews and negotiations were invaluable. It’s one thing to give someone tools, templates and advice for resume writing, cover letters or organizing your search efforts, but it’s quite another to help you effectively practice and prepare for actual conversations -- particularly panel interviews and delicate salary/benefits negotiations.
Perhaps most important, Scott helped me believe in my value and kept me from settling for just any job. One of the first assignments was to write down exactly what I wanted in my next career move so that I could evaluate potential opportunities accordingly. I’m now working in my dream job – with a job description that precisely matches what I wrote months earlier!!

Getting the secret sauce with The Job Sauce
Before starting with the Job Sauce I had left my job as a manager at a Fortune 50 company and I had been submitting dozens of applications but most of the time my applications got stuck in the black hole and I would almost never hear back from a company after submitting my application. I like to say that I’m “A-Level” talent but I wasn’t receiving interviews and offers from what I consider “A-Level” companies. I felt there was a gap between how I perceive myself as a candidate and the companies I wanted to work for. I found the Job Sauce through LinkedIn Premium and I knew that this is what I needed to help me bridge the gap and land my dream job. I will admit the price of the service almost scared me off because it is a considerable sum and I had seen other career coaches who charge less. Still, I like the presentation of the Job Sauce’s website, I had an informational interview with Scott’s team and I decided that I had to work with them. Instead of viewing the financial cost as a burden, I decided to view it as an investment in myself and my career.
When I started my journey with The Job Sauce, I was unsure of where I wanted to work, what industry, or what position. Through working with Scott and his team I was able to gain the clarity to make a decision as to what my next career move would be. Not only that, with Scott’s help I was able to create and execute a plan on how to get my dream job. My favorite part of this service is having someone to be a sounding board for ideas and thoughts as well as to hold me accountable to make sure that each week was productive in my job search. The process isn’t easy, and it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone every time I set up an informational interview. My other favorite part of this process was learning how to negotiate a salary. I was unaware that salary negotiation was an option but with the help of Scott, I was able to negotiate a comfortable salary which will help me increase my lifelong earnings.
If you are considering making the investment in career coaching, I highly recommend you do it and do it with The Job Sauce. The skills I’ve learned through this process are invaluable and I know that next time I want to look for a new position, job, or make a career change I will use these skills again and again. For me, using The Job Sauce has changed my life. I started my journey unsure of what came next and full of doubts in myself and my abilities. I came out of this process full of regained and increased self-confidence, knowing my worth and feeling completely unstoppable. I feel lucky I was able to find The Job Sauce because they have changed my life.

Good decision on my part!
I recently had Rachel overhaul my resume. Rachel immediately addressed my needs in a professional manner. She understood what my strengths and areas of expertise were and made sure they were highlighted appropriately on my resume. The service I received was timely and courteous. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone who needs help with structuring and rewriting their resume.

Excellent experience
Erin was assigned as my resume coach. She was an excellent coach, focusing on getting me a results-oriented resume that showed not just my experience and skills, but my accomplishments. She sent me suggestions and we worked together and in the end I got an amazing resume that is already getting the attention of recruiters.
I had a very good experience and would recommend getting The Job Sauce to help you update your resume.
