I loved the 2” cichlids I purchased. They were very healthy and shipped perfectly. I got the buy 10, get two free. All 12 fish are beautiful. The staff was helpful and friendly. The instructions on how to introduce your new fish to the tank was very informative. Jill G

Hello Linda; You had placed two orders with us for African Cichlids; one immediately after another. In reading your review, it sounds like for both shipments (one arrived at your address on March 1st and March 10th), the fish arrived grayish in color and perished? We're not sure if they all perished together in the same timeframe or shortly after you acclimated them? We need a little more information on when they perished, their behavior once acclimated and tank parameters to better assess exactly what happened here. While stress from shipment may cause Cichlids to temporarily lose color, they should overcome it once acclimated properly in a healthy tank with a good feeding schedule. We certainly wish that you would have notified us immediately upon receipt of the shipments so we could have jumped right into assessing the problem. We would have liked the opportunity to work with you on it as the problem unfolded. We're always happy to work with customers who either call or email us, with photos if that would be helpful, in order to rectify things. We're very sorry that you lost $250 of fish!

All 3 of the crayfish died within 3 days of receiving them including the one beta fish I also bought. I have never had that happen from buying fish online..They only guarantee their livestock within 3 hours of delivery. I know now why. What a waste of 110.00. Not to mention the deaths of the fish and crayfish.

Hello Blake; We're sorry the crayfish and the betta perished! We really depend on our customers to alert us at the first sign of a problem, whether it's appearance or behavior of the fish/invertebrate, so we can perhaps turn the situation around. We would have liked the opportunity to work with you and take a closer look at the problem. We have a Live Arrival Guarantee which requires our customers to notify us within two hours after receipt of the order when there are any fish that perished in shipment. But beyond that, if the fish begin to show signs of ill health or uncharacteristic behavior, within a day or two we prefer to still be alerted by the customer so we can assess the whole problem and take a closer look at tank parameters, tankmates, feeding, potential illnesses, etc. In many cases we've been able to work with the customer to rectify the situation. We're sorry this was your experience with us and hope you are willing to give us another try and work with us if you at all sense the fish are not adapting well.

While this is obviously expensive for just one fish, he arrived safely and well packed. He has survived for a few weeks now. Many of the pet store ones don't.

The must expensive fish I got died after 2 days 😪

Hello Anan; It sounds like it was your Arowana that perished and we're very sorry to hear that. In looking at your order, you had purchased over a dozen Cichlids and the one Arowana. Not sure what type of behavior you were witnessing in the tank or even if you put all of the fish together in a community tank. But Arowanas aren't the best tankmates for Cichlids who may get bit aggressive with the Arowana if it isn't quite large enough yet. We're not sure what the Arowana's behavior was like or it's appearance a day or two after you acclimated it which would help us assess why it perished. We really appreciate your business and your large Cichlid order. We certainly would have liked the opportunity to work more closely with you at the first sign of a problem with the Arowana because we may have been able to turn the situation around.
