My Cockapoo Archie started on Happy Howl 2 weeks ago. So far he’s loving it. Not a big fan of the packaging but appreciate that it doesn’t require refrigeration (before opening). His bowel movements are now regular and he appears to be tolerating the food well (no itching or vomiting).

I was curious as to why the nutritional values weren't listed in any of the advertising so I purchased the $29. Sample pack that said it would make 6 meals. When it arrived it was 3 small containers with 14.6 oz. each. The nutrition panel is a bit of a shock. They seem to be the min. values for an adult 70 pound dog. I feel the cost is likely prohibitive to feed at such minimal standards. My almost 3 yr. old. 15 lb Pomsky took a couple of bites of the Turkey recipe walked away and didn't return. That was a week ago. Since it is non-returnable or refundable, last night I opened the beef stew. To my surprise, she did eat it but I wouldn't feel good about feeding this daily, due to the low protein levels and filler carbs from rice and plain potatoes. I have been making her meals since she arrived at 14 weeks and was looking for alternatives for easy travel. I believe if you order a quantity you might get the price down to make it worthwhile to have in emergencies or for travel back-up. There is little doubt this pup food is better than any kibble on the market, but for those of us who are already entrenched in creating healthy meals, it is a step down.

I can’t say anything positive or negative about Happy Howl. The only thing I can say is my dog won’t eat it. I’ll try another flavor but I suspect my order will be heading towards a local landfill.
