Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

My 2 dogs, terrier mix & yorkie , did not care for any of the 3 flavors. Unfortunatly 1/2 of 3 containers were throne away. I gave away all of the rest. I hope that dog likes it. I'm sure its great food but my 2 dogs are extra picky eaters. Thank you

Thank you for sharing your experience. We completely understand that some dogs can be extra picky! It sounds like your pups just weren’t fans of the flavors you tried. Using Happy Howl as a topper or mixing it gradually with their usual food can sometimes help picky eaters adjust, but we understand it’s not always a perfect fit. We really appreciate you giving it a try and for thinking of sharing the rest with another dog who may enjoy it!

Honestly, I don’t like to give negative reviews. And I realize this is a small company, but I have to be honest. I have tried everything to get boomer to eat this food, he looks at it. He sniffs it and he walks away. I have mixed it with his regular food and he won’t touch it. I admit he has a sensitive stomach, and he is authentic eater, but normally he will try something new. So far, the only thing that he will eat is A Pup Above. Only beef and pork. He really likes lamb and that’s why I tried your product. The reason I gave it only one star is because honestly it looks like regurgitated food. It doesn’t look appetizing. It’s wet and sloppy and I can’t say that I blame the dog for not wanting to try it. I am pretty experienced in trying the different things on the market and I have to say this has the least inviting look to it. I wish your company well and I am very disappointed because I was so excited to see that you offered lamb. Doreen

Thank you so much for your honesty and for taking the time to share your experience. We completely understand your concerns—every dog has their own preferences and sensitivities, and it can be really frustrating when something new isn’t appealing, especially when it comes to lamb, which Boomer usually enjoys. We also appreciate your feedback about the appearance and texture of the food. While we aim for nutrient-dense, fresh ingredients, we realize the look can be a factor in whether a dog wants to try it. Your input is valuable, and we’ll keep it in mind as we continue to improve our recipes. We’re sorry that Happy Howl didn’t work out for Boomer, but we truly appreciate you giving us a try and your thoughtful feedback. Wishing you and Boomer all the best in finding foods that excite him and support his sensitive stomach!

They seem to eat it well, and I will use it, but probably as a topper on some high grade kibble due to its cost. My Shih Tzus are very picky eaters I think this will help. Thank you

We’re so glad to hear your Shih Tzus are enjoying the food! Using Happy Howl as a topper is a great way to boost nutrition and encourage picky pups to eat, lots of customers do the same. We completely understand balancing cost, and we’re happy our meals can still play a helpful role at mealtime. Thank you for giving us a try!
