Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

My dogs love it. They get so excited when they see the box. The food is packed tightly in individual boxes. No refrigeration needed. Only when the carton is opened and saved for later.

Hello!
Bobbie E.
My mini dachshund has always been a picky eater, but since switching to Howl, has not left any food at all, and no coaxing! And I love the long shelf life, I had tried the freezer brands, but didn’t like if I forgot to thaw some out, had to wait to feed!

Tried to cancel an order the same day I placed it because of ingredients and was told that wasn't possible. Not a very caring or responsible business in my view. $ seems their most important objective. Not concerned with a pet owners opinion . I will not recommend this company to anyone. Crappy policies
Response from Happy HowlFeb 10, 2026
We’re really sorry that your experience with cancelling your order was frustrating—it’s never our intention to make a customer feel unheard or unsupported. We do have policies around same-day cancellations because orders are processed very quickly to ensure freshness and timely shipping, but we understand how this felt and appreciate your perspective. Your concerns about our approach and policies are important, and we’ll share your feedback with the team so we can improve communication and flexibility for our customers.

I bought the sample package. When i opened the box the first thing I smelled was a spice or something. It wasn't appealing to me. I dished some out for my border collie and terrier. Neither of them wanted it. My collie loves lamb but wouldn't come near receptor to bury it. The terrier wasn't interested at all. The next day I tried the turkey same thing. With both flavors I smelled that same smell. The food was a mush full of rice nothing like what is shown on their box or advertisement. White rice, potato, a quarter of a side of a green bean and a pea. Two of those ingredients converts into sugar. If I could attach a picture I would. It was a waste of 35 dollars. Which could've been spent on a food that was exactly what was advertised.

We’re sorry to hear that your dog didn’t take to any of the sample flavors, sometimes pups have very specific tastes, and not every recipe will appeal to every dog. If you'd like our support team can share feeding tips [email protected].
