Happy Howl is providing complete…
Happy Howl is providing complete nutrition to Monte, our 10 year old border collie. It’s easy to see because his meals are satisfying his strong food drive. The delivery is punctual and well managed and the marginal cost increase in meals is more than offset by the superior nutrition and food quality. We transitioned Monte to happy howl from homemade food about two months ago in anticipation of a cross country road trip we are taking. The shelf stable food is easy to transport and packs a strong nutritional meal that is well tolerated, satisfying and healthy. There’s no question that happy howl is the perfect feeding solution for our family.

We are so honored to be Monte's fuel for the road! Border collies are such smart, active dogs, so keeping that strong food drive satisfied with premium nutrition is everything. We designed our shelf-stable food specifically for moments like this—giving pet parents the high-quality, human-grade nutrition of a homemade meal without any of the kitchen or travel hassle. Thank you so much for the incredible feedback, and happy trails to your whole family on your upcoming cross-country trip!

I have a very picky eater
I have a very picky eater. I followed your directions but he would not touch the food. I am sure it’s not the food but my dog. I have tried countless speciality food without success'. I will donate the remains 5 boxes to someone and I am sure the dog will love it.

Thank you so much for giving us a try, and thank you even more for your incredible kindness in choosing to donate the remaining boxes to another pup! That is such a sweet gesture.Picky eaters can certainly be a tough puzzle to crack, and we completely understand how frustrating it is when you're hoping for a breakthrough. Just in case you wanted to give it one last shot before passing the boxes along, a couple of quick tricks that often work for stubborn pups are warming a serving up in the microwave for a few seconds to really release those rich, tempting aromas, or trying a very slow 50/50 mix right into his absolute favorite food or treat. We truly appreciate your honesty, and we are sending so much love to you and your sweet boy. We hope you find his perfect match soon!

I like that fact that the beef stew happy howl is chicken free. I have two dog kids that are highly allergic to chicken.
Response from Happy HowlJul 17, 2026
Finding a truly chicken-free option can be a real treasure hunt for allergy pups, so we are so glad our Beef Stew is the perfect fit for your two dog kids! We wanted to take the guesswork out of feeding fresh, especially for dogs with sensitive systems. Thank you so much for the wonderful review and for making us a trusted part of your pups' mealtime routine!
