Very disappointing experience. The service did not meet the expectations that were set during the booking process. Several areas that were supposed to be cleaned were either missed entirely or only given minimal attention. Communication was also frustrating, as it was difficult to get clear answers when I raised concerns.
For the price charged, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and attention to detail. Instead, I was left having to spend additional time addressing issues that should have been handled during the service visit.
Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend it to others.

I want to let you know that my team 23 is the best! I can’t imagine having anyone better. They are so kind and considerate besides being very efficient. My house is in good hands.
I nominate them for employees of the month for April, 2026!

Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience – do NOT use this company
I had a very bad experience with The Cleaning Authority in Houston and would never use them again.
I called to get a quote for cleaning a 2,500 sq ft home. The person who gave the quote told me that homes this size generally take about 1.5 hours, and since this was a first-time cleaning they would roughly double the time, putting the estimate around $280. Based on that, I agreed to proceed.
When the cleaning crew arrived, it was immediately clear they were moving extremely slowly on very basic cleaning tasks. They ended up taking nearly 5.5 hours to clean the house. I didn’t say anything at the time, assuming this was their business practice and that I’d still be charged the agreed-upon amount.
To my surprise, I later received a bill for $480 for the first cleaning—nearly double what I was quoted.
I spent days calling and arguing, and eventually they agreed to reduce the bill to $300, but the whole experience created a strong sense of distrust. Because of this, I decided to cancel future service.
Here’s where it gets even worse: after I cancelled, they reversed the discount and re-charged the full amount, effectively punishing me for cancelling after their own billing fiasco.
This felt extremely dishonest and unprofessional. Between the inaccurate quoting, excessive time taken, billing shock, and reversing an agreed adjustment, this company lost all credibility with me.
Do NOT use this company. There are plenty of cleaning services in Houston that are honest and upfront—this is not one of them.

We need to shout out about No 1 Team…
We need to shout out about No 1 Team member Wanda and what she did on March 25, 2026. She showed up to take care of us alone because her team mate could not make it. She jumped into what needed to happen with the best attitude we have seen. The result was as if 2-3 people were working. She was amazing. Thank you Wanda!

Beware
Beware. Without my knowledge the Cleaning Authority charged my account for an extra hour of service. Their team arrived more than 1/2 hour late and left after an hour and remained sitting in their car as I observed. Neither person on the team could speak English and worked slowly. A cleaning at another location resulted in their cleaning product ruining the door of my range. Several attempts to correspond with the franchise and corporate were ignored.

The Cleaning Authority-Louisville, KY-No Go!
When I decided to hire a cleaning company, I initially chose The Cleaning Authority because their manager came to my home, explained their process in detail, and made the service sound reliable and structured. They use an A/B cleaning rotation—meaning the first visit is “A” and the next is “B”—where each focuses on deeper attention to certain areas while still cleaning the entire home. The manager presented an impressive overview of how thorough the cleanings would be. Unfortunately, that is not what consistently happened.
After only a few visits, it became clear that the quality and professionalism were inconsistent. Some staff mentioned that areas—such as blinds or windows—had not been cleaned properly during prior rotations, and they would tell me they were “getting me caught back up.” This raised concerns, as the services that were promised were not being delivered.
The professionalism issues didn’t stop there. Some cleaners made inappropriate comments about my family and our belongings, including remarks about us “spoiling” our son. That is not part of their job description, nor is it appropriate in a client’s home. When I brought this behavior to the manager’s attention, he was dismissive and never responded to my email concerns except to note that they would be crediting my account due to a broken item in my home. Additionally, if you request that certain staff not return to your home, he is unable to manage that properly because he relies solely on an app to determine which employees service which houses.
On top of that, one cleaner broke an item in my home. While it was replaced, the manager’s response was unprofessional—he informed me they preferred to use Target for replacements rather than “some high-end New York store,” which was unnecessary and frankly quite funny. If your employee damages a client’s property, it is not your place to dictate where the client should or should not shop. Comments like that, paired with a lack of accountability and the arrogance and cockiness displayed on the phone, likely explain the high employee turnover.
I am grateful that we have since found a new cleaning company that is professional, respectful, and actually provides the level of service they promise. With stronger employee training at all levels and a manager who understands communication, accountability, and customer service, The Cleaning Authority could prevent losing business in the future.
