I’m a customer and I haven’t received any response to my enquiry for days. Four days ago, I managed to speak to a member of staff who made a mistake when checking my details. They said they’d sorted it out, but nothing has happened. I sent an email to customer support four days ago and haven’t received a reply. Today, I sent a message via the support chat six hours ago and it’s still unanswered. Terrible service.

Hi Rui,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must be to wait for a resolution after speaking with our team and contacting us through both email and live chat.
This is not the level of service we aim to provide. We’d like to look into what happened. I have already responded to your recent emails, and I can also see that you have previously communicated with our support team via our chat platform.
I would be very grateful if you could please reply to my email so that we can review the matter further and work towards a resolution. Thank you for your patience and cooperation, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Shravan,
The Termly Team.

A compliance company that can't comply with a simple question
One question: "Will I be charged €108?" Six people and 20 days later, still no answer.
Their fixes: "log out and back in," a support PIN, and a "Tier 2 investigation" that disappeared. Support said one website, the dashboard said two. For a compliance company, that's impressive incompetence.
Every reply was the same template with a new name at the bottom. The only thing that worked every time was their billing.
Account deleted. I moved to a provider that can do math.
Save the copy-paste. I already know it's "not the level of service you aim to provide." Clearly you're aiming low.

Hi Alin,
You asked one clear question and it took far too long to get a clear answer. You shouldn't have had to chase it across several people, and the Tier 2 case closing without a reply to you was our failure.
To answer it now: your subscription has been cancelled and you will not be charged on October 15. If any charge does go through, we'll refund it in full.
You were also right about the mismatch. When you removed your second website, its license wasn't taken off your subscription, so your dashboard kept showing two even though we told you one. We've raised this internally so it doesn't happen to other customers.
I've sent you the same confirmation by email so you have it in writing.

Not a Reliable Company for Partners
I tried working with this company by joining their Partner Program, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
In less than 15 days, I brought them around 15 new customers, personally handling their registrations through my referral link. I am not new to this type of partnership: I have worked with other companies in the industry for years and have never experienced issues like this before.
Despite all the promises made at the beginning, I was only credited and paid for 6 out of the 15 customers I brought in. For the remaining customers, I was told that they could not be monetized because, according to the company, they had not been referred by me. This explanation is difficult to understand, considering that I personally assisted these customers with their registrations using my Partner referral link.
After more than a month of back-and-forth emails without reaching a satisfactory resolution, I decided to accept what they were willing to pay and end the partnership.
As for the customers I brought to the company, once their current annual subscriptions expire, they will not be renewing with them. Instead, I will be moving them to another provider that I consider more reliable and transparent to work with.
I personally bring in an average of around 30 new customers per month. When you consider that volume over the course of a year, together with future renewals, losing a Partner over the failure to properly recognize a handful of referrals seems like a very short-sighted business decision.
Fortunately, I have lost nothing other than the time I invested in this partnership. The company, on the other hand, has lost a Partner who could have generated a significant number of new customers and recurring renewals over time.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot consider this company sufficiently reliable or transparent when it comes to managing its Partners.

Hi Simone,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Simone. We’re sorry the partnership did not meet your expectations, and we understand your frustration regarding the disputed referrals.
We take affiliate commission concerns seriously and conducted a detailed review with both our affiliate platform provider, Impact, and our internal development team. As a result, we credited every subscription we could verify through the available referral and attribution data.
Unfortunately, neither Impact’s tracking data nor our internal records allowed us to confirm that the remaining subscriptions were generated through the required affiliate referral process. We also invited you to provide additional supporting information so we could investigate further, but we did not receive documentation that enabled us to validate those referrals.
We recognize that you personally assisted these customers and understand why you expected the subscriptions to be attributed to you. However, to maintain a fair and consistent program for all partners, commissions must be supported by verifiable tracking data.
We’re disappointed that we could not reach a resolution that satisfied you. If additional evidence becomes available, we remain open to reviewing it.
Best Regards,
Shravan,
The Termly Team

Cancelled my plan with termly after not…
Cancelled my plan with termly after not using the service. Have cancelled over and over, written to support, filed chargebacks and yet they come back and charge every single month, without end. Total scammers, be careful not to give them any credit card.

Avoid Termly - there are better free options
As other people have mentioned - poor support, and took payment after I requested cancelled - and then went silent, ignoring ALL attempts to contact them.

Hi Clem,
Thank you for your review.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it is to request a cancellation, see a payment taken afterward, and then feel like your attempts to reach us have gone unanswered.
This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. We’d appreciate the opportunity to look into what happened and make things right. Please reach out to our support team with your account details and reference this review so we can investigate the cancellation and payment issue directly. You can email us at [email protected].
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Kind Regards,
Shravan,

I was genuinely disappointed with my…
I was genuinely disappointed with my experience. I chose Termly because it was advertised as offering a free one-time use, so I invested the time to complete the lengthy questionnaire. Only after finishing did I discover that I couldn't actually use the generated terms in a practical way.
The document is locked inside a proprietary editor that doesn't allow simple copy-and-paste, and the HTML export isn't compatible with our Markdown-based website. As a result, the "free" version wasn't usable for my needs.
While the company may be technically accurate in describing the offer as "free," the limitations aren't made clear upfront. I would have appreciated greater transparency before spending the time completing the entire process. Unfortunately, the experience felt misleading and frustrating.
Response from TermlyJul 24, 2026
Hi Rajat,
Thanks for the detailed feedback. To clarify one thing: the Free plan's scope, one policy, HTML-embeddable output, is listed on our pricing page, so nothing about what's included was hidden.
That said, I hear the real issue: knowing a feature exists and knowing whether it'll actually fit your specific setup (a Markdown-based site, in your case) are two different things, and that's not something a feature list communicates well on its own. That's a fair gap for us to close, regardless of what's disclosed pricing-wise.
I'd like to help directly, reach out to me at [email protected] and I'll see what we can do to get you a version of your policy that actually works for your site.
Regards,
Raouia

I have been trying to reach Termly…
I have been trying to reach Termly support for months. Every time I've attempted to reach them (8 times at this point) at their 1-800 customer service number, I am told there is no one available to assit me and to call back later. They will only engage via email but the replies are automated; no one actually READS the email. I've been charged for services I canceled. I can't delete the account because I no longer have access to the email address on their file. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere for your compliance support needs.

Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
We're very sorry to hear about the frustration you've encountered while trying to reach our support team.
This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to resolve an issue involving your account and billing. We'd like the opportunity to investigate what happened, including your cancellation request and the email address associated with your account.
We have already made sure that your ticket has received a response.

Not good business practices.
I had a subscription for the Termly.io service. I received an email that Termly was unable to process my payment for the upcoming year. I notified them that I was not renewing my service and had cancelled my subscription. I requested they not keep trying to process payments and to stop. I continued to receive emails that they could not process the payments and they requested I update my payment information. Communicating with this company has been extremely frustrating. I refuse to pay for another year of their services and do not neither understand nor appreciate their extortive business practices. Stop means stop!

Hi Brian,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it can be to continue receiving payment reminder emails after deciding not to renew your subscription.
Our payment reminder emails are typically sent automatically when a subscription is still active and an upcoming renewal payment cannot be processed. Once a subscription has been successfully canceled, these reminders should no longer be sent.
We'd like the opportunity to review what happened in your case and make sure everything has been handled correctly. Since we can't access account details through Trustpilot, please reach out to our support team and include the email address associated with your Termly account. We'll be happy to investigate this for you and ensure your subscription status is correct. Please email us at [email protected].
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve both our service and our communication.
