I've been a loyal customer who always paid on time for 3 years I've received services at my house. When we moved and informed Terminix that we no longer need services, they acknowledged that we would no longer need a service and still charged us for a service. The retention specialist, Ben Gordon, from Terminix's Phoenix call center with the ID #92820, yelled at me on the phone and insisted I won't get a refund for a service not performed.

Incompetent
Over an extended period of time this company has badly managed a squirrel / rat infestation. Consistently they have not kept their word by not completing the job. They promise to return, but they do not. Absolutely atrocious and incompetent. Had to instruct another company to investigate and cure the problem, which is now being handled.

2/28/23—Terminix Nightmare !
2/28/23
I read all the 1-Star Reviews here; they match the BBB’s website.
My story is hard to believe. It’s too much to go into. But I agree w all who said: “never hire; crooks; thieves, dishonest, etc.”
Basically, after a 1st visit by Mike A. (Mokena, IL.), to assess what I needed for Mice, he recommended a year of service (4 visits) for $600. Okay, agreed. He then highly recommended the “Exclusion Service”; that is, go to every area both inside & outside the entire House to cover up/plug up all the points of entry. His cost: $5,000 ! Can U imagine? I wanted to make sure of no Mice ever again. So I paid $5,600 upfront w my 1 Credit Card.
Needless to say, like everyone else here, they did absolutely nothing, lied about it and refused a 100% refund.
My 2 actions: I have appealed with an investigation involving the Credit Card Bank; I have hired an excellent Lawyer in Chicago for a possible Arbitration case. Do the same!
I’m glad to have discovered TrustPilot.com.
Watch out for Terminix—they should serve long jail sentences and be driven out of business.

Run Run and Run away from this company
Run Run and Run away from this company. To begin with I had a one year exclusion warranty from another company but they couldn’t figure out how the rats managed to get inside the basement and the attic. So I ended up hiring terminix because their sales technician promised all my problems will be gone once they do the job. After they charged me the technician came and put a piece of flashing and left. After 4 or 5 calls to them someone at their sales department finally mentioned to me they don’t do any cleaning even not picking the droppings. I called for cancellation and told I wont get a penny because service had been rendered ( they’re technicians didn’t even stay for 30 minutes all they did was a small piece of flashing). Please stay away from them!!!!

Aggressive, dishonest. This one of the most aggressive
This is one of the most aggressive, dishonest company I dealt with in a long time. Here is my story. I called the Terminix number and asked for spraying inside my house one time. I told the person I talked to that I will pay by check. She insisted on getting my credit card number and if you read on you will find out why. No paperwork was signed. Service person shows up doing a superficial, unprofessional job which was like spraying with water. I have asked for a refund saying I was 100% dissatisfied with the job. I thought that was the end of my affliation till l get a text message saying another visit is scheduled.
I have asked the serviceman not to come. I did not want him on my property. He came anyway. Three days later I notified Terminix that i never signed up for a plan. 4 days later l emailed Terminix saying If I need them I will call and asked not to trespass on my property. They came anyway but could not get in. However, the charges on my credit card kept coming in. My credit card was cancelled. Somehow they managed to get a hold of my new credit card information and charge me again. Dealing with them was like dealing with a hacker from another country. I just did not seem to get rid of them no matter what. Now I am writing this review to express 100% dissatisfaction with this company. I am at the stage of escalating this case to the bank. Poor Pest Control with High Cancellation Fees
Terminix requires a contract for their services for at least a year. They charged me a lot for that and spray chemicals that DON’T get rid of pests. I still have an insect problem in my house and all they can do is keep sending their tech to spray the property. They won’t cancel my contract without penalty. I’m telling all of my clients… RUN!!!!

Colton is awesome
We have used Terminix for years. The best part is our technician, Colton. Honestly we can get service anywhere but we can only get Colton here. I hope Terminix sees what an asset he is and how much he does for them.

Termite Infestation
First off, don't fall for Billy's line of BS. Second, I had no termites when I contracted with them. At Billy's request, "because they're everywhere", I contracted for subterranean termites after my initial pest control, so I signed up for the bundle. Then I was being double billed lol. Once for the pest control and once for the bundle. Still waiting for my refund for the double billing.
Then and only because I decided to redo my floors guess what I found??? Subterranean termites... total infestation. Huge nest, the whole deal. No indication of termites before. Not through his inspection, no wings, no wood decay, nothing. What can he offer me? Treatment. So I get treatment, nest removal, and guess what? I still have termites... Today they bill me again and I call to cancel. Not only are they not going to credit me, offer me any refund, pay for my damage, but they're going to charge me a cancellation fee. That is until I speak to my local branch, the branch that can only offer me treatment as a remedy. The treatment that didn't work. And the treatment which allowed a nest to form a mere foot from a bait station... a bait station, 13 of them actually, which should have never allowed this to happen in the first place.
