I have had a lifelong battle with bronchitis which has at times turned into pneumonia. This is because my spine is fused which does not allow my lungs to expand and deflate properly. I had a doctor who understood this and would prescribe antibiotics prophylactically at the start of a virus which kept me from becoming worse. He has since passed away and the doctors I’ve encountered revert to the old protocol of “it’s a virus and antibiotics don’t work on those so take OTC meds, come back later if you’re worse.” Every bout with pneumonia has left its toll on me. At my age I don’t want to risk getting again. When I described my situation to the team at telmdfirst they were quick to respond, agreed with my assessment and I was prescribed an antibiotic within a day. I could not be happier with my experience and would award them ten stars if possible. This is the future of medicine going forward for me definitely and after hearing from friends of mine I wouldn’t be surprised if it will be for everyone else!
