System Error Cost Me a Therapy Session
Very disappointed in how a mental health company handles situations like this. Back in March 2026, I was unable to schedule my last session credit due to a system error. My therapist even attempted to schedule it on her end and couldn’t. I contacted chat support and was told the issue would need to be escalated. I specifically reminded them that my last credit would expire within a few days. Time passed with no response, and the credit expired. Over the next month, I repeatedly attempted to contact the company and received no responses. I finally reached someone through the call line (which has very inconvenient hours for anyone working full time. But this worker was kind.) and was told the original request had never actually been escalated. They assured me they would escalate it directly. A few days later, I finally heard back, only to go back and forth with a representative who repeatedly denied restoring the credit and claimed there was no further escalation possible. The support ticket was eventually closed by this worker without any resolution. I decided to then file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau and received two responses that still did not resolve the issue. I find it incredibly hard to believe that there is absolutely no way to reinstate a single session credit when the issue was caused by a system error and documented before the expiration date. At this point, it feels less like inability and more like unwillingness to help. What’s most frustrating is the amount of unnecessary stress and anxiety this process has caused from a company centered around mental health support. I genuinely like my therapist, which is the only reason I will continue using the platform for now. Do better, Talkspace.
