This is a scam
Scam. I subscribed to the messaging only option for $316 for 4 weeks, With a coupon code it was $216. I got 1 introduction message that was obviously an auto-reply, then I didn't get a response to my reply...or follow up reply...or second follow up message. After 4 days, I looked at a lot of reviews online and found out this is how they treat all of their clients. I canceled my subscription and requested a refund (after having to do more research to figure out how to even request a refund). They kept $50 and refunded the rest. This was also automated. I assume it was prorated because I canceled quickly enough. If you do the whole 4 weeks with an unresponsive therapist stringing you along, you'll probably get $0 refunded. The therapists are unresponsive and when they respond, it's with some copied and pasted generic message. They get paid to string you along as long as possible to make the most money. I heard this from a therapist that was hired there, and went through the training. She quit during training because she saw it was "dangerous and unethical." I Googled my Talkspace therapist's name, and the results showed she was affiliated with at least 10 on-line therapy apps/sites. How could she possibly be of help to anyone with a client base spanning across 10 sites? I won't include her name here, but I'd encourage anyone to Google their therapist and see if their Google results are similar. It's reprehensibly unethical. Disgusting. If you really need help, you will have to make time for a flesh and bone therapist, face to face. This scam is no cheaper in the long run, and it will give you no positive results. You'd be lucky if it didn't cause mental harm. DON'T DO IT.
