I would actually give this app 0 stars if I could. I received access via my companies employee program where I get 4 free sessions. My therapist was amazing, I loved her… but then my sessions ran out. I spent 5 weeks trying to contact Talkspace (who does not have phone customer service so everything was via email… which took weeks to get a response) only to he told they don’t accept my actually insurance. But if I call my insurance with a reference number and get written confirmation they would help me further. Even though my insurance company already confirmed my coverage with Talkspace. I can’t imagine being someone in a life or death counseling situation who couldn’t go 5 weeks without talking to their counselor. The worst part was I couldn’t even contact my counselor. So she literally has no idea what happened, and I can’t afford to pay $400 a month to continue with her out of pocket.

I had an intro call with my new provider, the video and audio quality is extremely poor, constantly frozen, we couldn't make out what the other person was saying at all. It's a waste of money and time. I had 3 providers so far, none of them is responsive or engaged. I get an average of 3 replies per week, they all just send me generic PDFs to read and fill in my goals, but they don't seem to actually have time to read what I've written or to provide any personalized feedback.

I signed up two months ago and am yet to have a session with a therapist. None of the therapists seem to have their schedule up to date and they don't have availability. When I finally found one with availability, my session was cancelled with less than 12 hours notice. I wanted to try therapy to help with stress, not add to it.

If I could give talkspace 0 stars I would. I registered for a month of therapy. It took 4 weeks for talkspace to match me with a therapist. I received multiple emails and messages that talkspace was "trying to match "me with a therapist. Once I got "matched " and set an appointment, I was asked to give some background on my thoughts and feelings. Less than 24 hours after I did that, my therapist canceled my appointment. If I were suicidal, I'd be dead by now.

This is one of the most disorganized, inconsistent, unhelpful organizations, therapy or otherwise I have ever dealt with. Borderline fraudulent billing practices that should be investigated. Incompetent, lazy, and in one instance cruel therapist. I'm not even sure their therapists have any accreditation, the people I interacted with seemed more like low-paid social workers. Try BetterHelp, they're more expensive I think, but you get what you pay for.

They charged my credit card and took my insurance information. I was matched with a therapist who never responded. Neither did customer service. After a week, I am done. There is no phone number to try to get my money back.

I have tried to get a therapist to be consistent multiple times over the last two years. When I started it was great and the therapist would respond daily. However, that stopped and sometimes they would go days or weeks without a response. I have switched to different therapists with the same results. It is a horrible service for someone that actually needs help and is trying to get it. I would give them zero stars if I could.

If zero was an option, that would be my choice. I have tried to use this service with limited positive experience . My main concern to pass along and to warn others, is that they incorrectly charged me for a visit. Customer service acknowledged their mistake, but it has been “months” of my wasted time trying to get my money reimbursed. User beware, Customer service is limited to email only, and takes weeks to respond (aka, they want to delay resolution). Avoid this service at all cost based on my personal experience. They took my hard earned money, acknowledged their mistake, but refuse to reimburse me or show proof of any reimbursed charges.
