I Need Therapy to Recover from Talkspace
1. I signed up for Talkspace without healthcare (I was told I could enter it later) and was given a therapist. 2. When I got insurance, I followed tabs from my room on Talkspace to input my insurance plan. 3. With no warning, I was given a new therapist and a new room/account and my former therapist (who I'd been working with for a month already and who knew my story was gone). The room we had been using to talk was closed and there was no way to get in touch with her again. 4. As there is no phone line for customer service for Talkspace, I communicated to them via email that I'd like my former room and therapist. They couldn't let me use the prior room (where all of our work lived) but did manage to reconnect me with my correct therapist (this process took a lot of back and forth and caused me a lot of stress and lost time. The reason I give this review even 1 star is that Talkspace reimbursed me for the time wasted). 5. Soon after this I was notified by that I was not qualified for healthcare coverage with the plan I'd submitted but could remit Talkspace superbills to my healthcare. 7. When I called my health insurance to submit my Talkspace superbill I was told that actually, Talkspace IS in fact in their network but that I'd have to call Talkspace and have them bill my healthcare directly. 8. When I complained Talkspace didn't have a phone line, my healthcare provider gave me the one they had on file. 9. But.....the phone number proved to be a wrong number and further research showed Talkspace doesn't take calls from customers (or apparently healthcare providers). 10. I filed a complaint with my healthcare about my Talkspace experience and Talkspace contacted me via email to figure out the issue (mind you, this is over 20 Talkspace emails later). I rehashed everything and after going back and forth for clarification, they took my health insurance number, name and DOB and said they'd work it out. 11. The customer service wrote to say that the problem was solved. My insurance would be billed and they'd reimburse last months payment. Great. Only problem is that when I opened the portal there were 2 new rooms, the previous place (the second room my therapist and I had been working) was closed and we have no idea how which room to use. I feel like I need therapy to get me over this experience. On top of the reason I sought help I now feel angry, anxious, uncertain of the help I'm getting, and resentful. Don't use Talkspace. Fend for yourself if you have to.

Thank you so much for your review. I am happy to see the issue was resolved.
