This service is garbage. The therapists are non-responsive. If you are a minority, be prepared to get subpar service. If you are white be prepared to receive subpar service.

The provider no-showed 3 times in a row. There is no phone number to call for help. My company's assistance line also does not have a phone number to call; they can only send emails. The second person who was matched could not do the care due to state requirements, but there is no way to filter for location.

Talkspace is a scam. Their service is terrible. Their agents are not helpful. Their website is buggy. Open tickets and nobody services them. Their therapists have awful communication and make matters worse. Don't waste your time or money or frustration with this awful service.

I saw multiple therapists and they were all awful. Literally one just stared at me while I was talking and then responded with “how do you feel about that?” As if I didn’t just tell her how I was feeling. It’s terrible all around. I have two more therapists a shot but my final straw was when the therapist literally said “not sure what to tell you”. I feel like I have pretty standard millennial worries and concerns so I shouldn’t have stumped her 😂

I had a 1:00 p.m. session which I was sent a link in my email too. I started trying to log in 10 minutes prior to the session. My phone was not compatible with the application and would not allow audio video. While I was trying to reset my entire phone to have the session, the therapist texted me to tell me that my session was over because I didn't show up in the 10 minute grace period. I begged her to call me but she refused. I really believe they do not care.

They don't pay their therapists. The platform is so convoluted there is so much red tape of not clicking or doing something perfect that they find a way not to pay you. Companies like this take money from the client and blame the therapist for the poor quailty of care. I am sorry but I spend less time with admin at a regular private practice. Clients if your therapist cancels its because they probably realize they wont get paid and would rather work at a gas station that hour knowing they will get paid more than Talkspace. These companies are all about building their own equity until they get small fines from the government. A fine of $100k is nothing when ripping off millions. I'm not a dog, I wont do tricks, or chase my tail in circles in order to get my treats handed to me one by one.

The provider did not sign on until 15 minutes into a 30 minute visit and then said I was muted and we would have to reschedule. I took screen shots so I have proof. Her name was Leslie Dorticos. If you’re late, apologize but don’t lie about it. Tried to get my money back but Talkspace gave her credit for the visit. I was aggravated to say the least.

Please Beware: I have to warn people about this company & want to start a class action lawsuit. I signed up with an insurance plan, excited to get into therapy online & I will never look at this the same again. No one should go through this while working on health and mental health issues. This company needs to be sued. 1- I submitted my insurance and they confirmed my insurance price at $0 per session, so fully covered. I started going weekly. 6 weeks in, I get slammed with an unexpected $120 bill automatically coming out of my bank account. The following week I get hit with another $265. They over drafted my account with no notice and it got frozen. Creating so many other financial issues for me. I cancelled any further therapy sessions immediately and tried to figure out what was going on. 2- Customer service is non-existent. Don’t expect help. I couldn’t contact anyone who was of any real help. You can’t call in, you can’t email, you can’t direct chat- my insurance company even tried to call in or have them call them back and nothing worked. Your ONLY option is the in-app email, in which takes days if not weeks for them to answer. During this time, they repeatedly kept trying to pull money from my bank account and over drafting it every time. By the time I got to anyone, they tried to sell me more services, ignoring my problem entirely. 3- No payment plans. By the time I got any kind of meaningful response, they tell me even though there was some sort of misunderstanding between them and my insurance company - they have no payment plan options. They just expected me to fork out $700 like it was a $20 subscription and kept trying to pull money out of my account multiple times a week, no matter how many times I told them I couldn’t afford that! I was supposed to be fully covered and had an unexpected $700 bill with no time to pay. 4- They don’t stop over drafting your account. No matter what you are going through with them, they will keep hitting your account. This should absolutely be illegal. They will create more financial problems for you. 5- They closed my account when I told them I was going to an attorney, so I couldn’t log in, see my bills or make any payments. 2 months later, they unexpectedly reopened my account and once again, are trying to pull from my bank account, over-drafting it AGAIN. If anything like this has happened to you, please reach out. I want to start a class action lawsuit against this company. This should be illegal.
