Talk space is an absolute joke for therapy. They took $300 from me for one session that was cut short and the therapist recommended that I use “Chinese herbs” to take care of my problems. Screw these scam artists

Let me be clear that I am reviewing the platform and customer service, not the therapists. I took a break from Talkspace for a bit and recently decided to go back. Upon requesting a messaging session with a new therapist, I thought I was good to go. However, I am now stuck on the "book an appointment" page and cannot get past that. It is not a technical glitch with my computer, as I've tried different browsers, playing with pop-ups, I've tried my phone vs. computer, etc...The same thing happens time and time again. I cannot access my messages from my therapist and have been getting email notifications that I have messages waiting. So, I of course reached out to customer service and have received several communications that they are trying to figure out the root of the problem. It has been TEN days now and they have been unable to figure it out. For a healthcare service, I feel this is completely unacceptable to make a patient wait this long to receive services such as this, all because of a tech issue on THEIR end that they do not seem to have the competence to figure out.

My daughter is in vet school, which is insanely stressful, so she needed to see a therapist to help with her anxiety! She LOVED her therapist (I hand-picked her because we know her). But, when it came to accepting my insurance it is a freaking joke! I have been dealing with this now for three months! My daughter has uploaded our insurance card to them THREE times and my daughter's account still says self-pay!!! Unfortunately, I did not wait to confirm my insurance was input correctly because my daughter really needed to talk to someone! Of course, they said they can't/won't go back and re-bill it through my insurance. They said once the bills have gone out I am basically SOL. So, my insurance is now fighting to get my money back. My insurance says it should be covered (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, which shows they take my insurance) but they are being difficult and won't respond to their requests. I am STILL WAITING to be refunded over $1200. MAKE SURE YOUR INSURANCE IS INPUT CORRECTLY AND IT IS LISTED ON YOUR PORTAL BEFORE BEGINNING THERAPY OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED!!!!!

Technical difficulties and a long process to complete this issue

I have been unable to access my account for quite some time. There is a tech glitch no one can fix and I can’t close the account because of the glitch.. in addition I had issues with providers before this. Had a great one who went on leave. Another who had tech issues. Another who I would book and she would cancel

Therapist zoned out 2x and was not actively listening. When I asked a question she was confused and repeating the question. I said (to be polite) oh maybe i didn't hear mayve phone went out. Doesn't feel good for someone to not actively listen

Talkspace has terrible support services that can’t even get me signed back up. I’ve already tried twice and they still just keep sending me articles on how to fix the problem. I’ll take this as a much needed sign not to try again since my last therapist also was terrible. Ate and drank during the session, excused herself to use the restroom, and was clearly communicating with someone in the physical room she was in. Not worth the hassle for the subpar services. I’ve asked them to delete my account and haven’t heard back from them.

Harms patients, awful, and rude through and through. Signed up for psychiatry for 435$ self pay. I know my care and want to see an MD or DO with board certification, a professional. They matched me with an ARNP. I said no and found a medical doctor on the platform but they had to reschedule with < 24 hours notice. The website claims I get billed for this. I called in and customer support did not pick up. They left me on hold 15 minutes and hung up. I emailed and chatted. Customer support rep David was very very rude and should never do this ever again. Rep Brian was helpful and told me that I would be refunded any charges for that, the provider has to waive the late fee. The provider only had really late inconvenient times to see me. I called in next day and asked rep Kiara to delete my account and refund all payments that went out. They were very helpful. Otherwise this company is the worst. They ruined my mental health further, delayed my healthcare, and really upset me in a bad time. I just want to see a doctor - my new insurance is giving me a hard time with my usual doctor so I have to find a new way. It's not them. They are the worst. Avoid them. The web platform is awful and has actively damaged my mental health. I hope they close their doors.
