Being able to get therapy via video conferencing is great. The fact that my insurance covers the cost minus a co-pay makes it an option that fits into my current budget. Not all people are going to be an ideal fit, but right now I am pleased and satisfied with the providers I am working with.

My therapist Keey has made this one of the easiest therapy experiences of my life. I found her through work provided assistance and she’s been helping me for almost a year now. Guiding me through an emotionally draining codependent relationship with a man who made it crystal clear we would only be friends, and once I had finally reached the point of acceptance, he died suddenly of alcohol withdrawal and our last evening together didn’t end on a positive note. She’s helping me work through the grief and guilt, and slowly the pain eases each day. But I don’t think life will ever be the same again after this, no matter how much therapy I go through. I love the ease of the telehealth sessions and scheduling appts. And she truly listens and gives me feedback indicating exactly what I had said and suggests new coping skills. Our latest session had a talk chat audio recording summarizing all the key points and reiterating everything she suggested. And the beauty of it is I can listen to it over and over, to help retrain my distorted thoughts. I’m not sure if all therapists are like Keey, but after 23 years, I’ve never had one with so much pure compassion and empathy for her clients. That nurturing disposition is exactly what I need when I’m in times of distress. I can’t thank Talkspace enough.
