Just look at Talkiatry’s reviews on Better Business Bureau’s website. Predatory and disturbing billing practices. I personally could only get them to stop harassing me 12 months after my appointment (they were trying to double bill my insurer and myself, which is a CRIME) by threatening court. Note to my future self and others - if a mental health provider requires you to accept their terms and conditions online which state, “you cannot bring class action claims”… seek services from literally anyone else! Looks like they deleted their Google page, probably due to too many negative reviews. I would love to see if any person on here has actually paid “$30 per visit” as they advertise on their website? I had to pay $460 for one appointment (and I have major insurance provider specifically listed as “accepted insurers” on their website) - more false advertising.

I could not agree more with the other comments regarding the questionable billing practices of Talkiatry. They reprocess bills several months after an initial bills are paid, claiming that insurance company did not properly handle the claim. This results in you having to pay significant amounts more than the initial bill. The overall process is designed to confuse individuals as this company cannot fully explain why we receive bills for appointments that were already paid for. As others have noted, they have outsourced their customer service and do not allow you to speak with billing specialists. You are forced to leave a message with a low level customer service representative who will then forward your request to a specialist who may or may not return your call within 48 hours. I have asked for specialists to return my call, only to receive a basic email, from a supposed specialist, which fails to address my specific issues and concerns. To any Talkiatry representative reading this, do not insult me by replying to this comment asking me to contact your “hello@” email. That email address is one of the major problems with your company as there is no one competent nor capable on the receiving end. Complaints with any and all appropriate government agencies will be notified of these questionable billing practices.

After mucking thru all of their not user friendly software, setting up a patient portal that is difficult to log into, and then waiting several weeks for an appointment after their advertisement said doctors available immediately, I logged in ten minutes early for my virtual appointment. There ended up being more questionnaires. I had to call because on one page it would not allow me to continue into my appointment. So I ended up being 7 minutes late, but finally got into the virtual waiting room, awaiting the doctor. After a half hour of waiting in the virtual waiting room, I called Talkiatry again, asking where my doctor was. They contacted the doctor and then told me that they needed to reschedule. I wouldn’t be able to get an appointment for another week. Truly a disappointment. I just told them to cancel my account with them. And just to update, now I just received a bill for $100 for sitting in a waiting room for 30 minutes. If I am charged this, then why was the doctor not there when I arrived the 7 minutes late? Why didn’t the Talkiaty operator notify the doctor I was trying to log in? The stupid response below just confirms this company is not worth the effort. And now I am getting an email saying “ If we don’t hear from you, the company may not be able to recognize your review as genuine.” So they are trying to disclaim me as a patient. That would be fine, as long as they disclaim any payment that I should make to them. To their credit, they reviewed my case and have have dropped any charges today.

Talkiatry says they can prescribe controlled substances.i was in near fatal crash where my eye itself was sewn back together so I'm in pain.i quit opioids on my own 5 months ago thanks to someone who let me try suboxone.it works ..no cravings,it helped with the pain and I have insurance they accept and they tell u they will give it same day as you talk to them...no they didn't...I was told I had to see someone in person but yet they advertise they can do it.....places like that just force us back to the damn streets and no I don't have time to wait weeks on an appointment when I work outside and stay fatigued without it...no I won't use them

Another online medical facility that lies,...I need suboxone because I quit opioids on my own no thanks to these liars....I had to go to the streets...how many people got compensated from the government when they sued opioids? I sure the f..k didn't and I lost sight in my right eye in 140 mph crash from a drunk driver as I was asleep...my eye had to be seen back together and I was prescribed opioids but the POS gov sued so I needed Suboxone to quit...they make it harder to get Suboxone so I had to go to the streets...how are those people getting them to sell?.....I mean a lot too and talkiatry claims they prescribed online and I have it all documented...they wouldn't do it so screw you I'll never use you

This business is a scam. They connect you with someone to do an initial intake. You file your insurance with them, then they turned around charging me $400.00 ($398.00 to be exact) for an initial consultation that I decided to not seek further help from them. I hope no one falls prey to their ad of with most insurance $30.00, especially for those seeking help. I will be submitting this to the Better Business Bureau.

Talkiatry is dishonest and evasive about pricing, appointment standards and insurance coding Billing department does not respond to questions and is not forthcoming with medical documentation Doctors keep you on calls for longer than necessary to reach a more expensive code. For example, doctor started asking me random questions, learned it was so he hit 16 minute minimum for more expensive billing code. Then doctor charged me for two services that I never received and billing does not help. The fees are outrageous and the price estimates do not include hidden, extra charges that you will undoubtably be hit with. ---- Update - I have been trying to escalate this bill with Talkiatry for months. They lost my ticket, refused to answer my emails and threatened to send me to collections while I actively had an investigation going on. Then, after an internal investigation they found the charges were valid (shocker). Talkiatry still refuses to show me documentation of the alleged services. This place is full of fraudulent claims and people. Do not give them your business. I would be interested in joining a class action law suit.

I wish I read the reviews. It took over a month to get the first visit scheduled. The provider cancelled at the last minute. Then it took almost another month to reschedule. After spending an hour with the provider when I was very clear on my intake form what I needed, I found out at the end of the appointment that she couldn’t write my medication and that she said I needed to talk to a different provider for my prescription! Then another month to get that appointment and again cancelled. The link to reschedule both times didn’t work. I have decided to go directly through my insurance provider who offers a similar service and will never use this service again. Not to mention the cost was ridiculous for putting me with the wrong provider. After 3 months since I signed up and still have not spoken to the right doctor, I’m out.
