If I could give negative stars I would. Absolutely awful experience. The therapist didn’t show up to the first two appointments. Third appointment was rescheduled without my knowledge and then I was charged $100 no show fee!! Under threat of collections I went ahead and paid the bill but this is an absolutely despicable practice. Slimy company. Stay away!

Real bad, was a waste of time. The person I spoke with did not seem to have the mindset or attitude to be a psychologist. Additionally, after asking me about the depths of my personal history, they said that I should see someone in person.

My mother finally asked for help for her deep depression. She is unable to get in a car and visit the nearest psychiatrist due to a fear of being in the car... I found Talkiatry and thought it would be a great option. However, they are not in any way tech savvy so it did require me taking a morning off work and driving 90 minutes to help with the appointment. I arrive at their home at 7:30 am, with my laptop in hand, for an 8:00 appointment. The doctor was a no-show! I am sure you an imagine my complete and utter frustration considering the circumstances that it took to get to this point. (I didn't even explain the process it was to get them the info they wanted "uploaded", Pictures of health insurance card and ID, etc. My parents do not have any of that technology so we had to rely on a neighbor to help them with her iPhone and texting to me.) I called customer service and they confirmed it was a no show and they would make sure that I was not billed $100 cancellation fee. And of course, I was billed. I responded to them and gave them my own bill: gas, time of work, etc. I received no response but they did quit billing me for the non-service. But the most damage came when my mother is now refusing help again. I one window of opportunity and then it slammed shut. Run awaY! I would give them zero stars if I could.

Massive over billing. I had one session with a clinician and was billed $1,070. YES, over a thousand dollars. Outrageous. Even more amazing my insurance company paid them all but $30 which they expect me to pay.

Talkiatry is awful. At first it seemed great. I got an appointment with a psychiatrist and it wasn’t a long wait. The appointment went well and she sent in a prescription for medication. However my pharmacy informed me that the medication needed prior authorization from my insurance. They said they contacted the doctor. I waited a week and checked in with the chat feature on the website. They assured me that my doctor had received the notice and would take care of it. They also said I had been referred to counseling. Three weeks later I get a notice from my pharmacy saying my doctor never responded and the medication is still being denied. I also had heard nothing from counseling. I called and they said the doctor had the message and all they could do was put a priority notification on it for her to see. I asked why that wasn’t done originally and they had no answer. I asked about counseling and they said they could send me a link to schedule. I asked why that wasn’t done before and they couldn’t answer. I asked to speak to a supervisor, got transferred to one and two seconds into the conversation got cut off and sent to a survey. They are awful and I never will use them again. I canceled all appointments and asked them not to email anymore but we will see if they follow through on that or not.

I’ve had 3 scheduled appts, the first went smoothly and I was prescribed a medication. The second appointment was rescheduled and then I was threatened with a no show charge due to their mistake. The third appointment was supposed to be today, and after waiting in the virtual waiting room for 20 minutes with no word, I had to call customer service to find out my provider called out sick and my appointment was cancelled. I’m on a sensitive medication that requires medical monitoring and now I will have to go without while I find care elsewhere.

Right now I am in a rage. I was just discharged by my psychiatrist for not "complying" when in fact I was very much in compliance. She had suggested I seek a higher level of care (partial hospitalization program or intensive outpatient program) which they had sent me resources for. The programs were 2-4 hours from me or virtual during times of the day when I was not available. I told my psychiatrist this and she took this as noncompliance. I had told her I found another IOP that was a better fit for me but because it wasn't the one initially offered, she discharged me. Which means I'm also losing my therapist because they're a package deal apparently. I am extremely upset and hurt. I'm now having to search for a new provider for my mental health issues. Stay away from this terrible company.

Exceptionally poor experience overall. Went in with a very specific concern and was advised by the provider that I was required to try other solutions before she would entertain what I was asking for. Requiring me to schedule multiple appointments in quick succession. I was never provided an estimated cost and they billed the first session incorrectly, which indicated my insurance would cover the cost in full only to rebill it AFTER my second appointment. Went from zero to over $300 due from me for each visit. Total bait and switch. Contacted billing and was sent multiple copy & paste responses. Filing a complaint with my insurance and the BBB. If I could give zero stars, I would. Cannot recommend this service in the slightest.
