I’m 82 and have had my share of therapy. Talkiatry is ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I have ever had!!! In every aspect!! Two out of my last three appointments were cancelled an hour before my appointment as the therapist was out of office on an emergency- The third appointment she disappeared after ten minutes into the zoom call. NEVER and I mean NEVER use Talkiatry. Oh and yes after my cancelled appointments, they offered another appointment in three weeks. Helen F

I had an appt scheduled a month ago. They sent me many reminders. An hour before my appt they called and canceled it. I had an appt scheduled for today. I sat on Zoom for 30 min. No Dr ever appeared. I give them 0 stars. Now they are billing me $100 for the time they never showed up!!!!!!

DO NOT USE OR TRUST THIS SERVICE. I CALLED TO GET INFORMATION ONLY TO HAVE THEM TELL ME I AM NOT QUALIFIED TO RECEIVE SERVICES. 2 MONTHS LATER THEY SEND ME A $489 BILL FOR A 20 MINUTE CALL IN WHICH I WAS NOT HELPED OR EVALUATED. WENT TO THE BBB AND THEY HAVE AN "F" RATING. MOST OF THE COMPLAINTS ARE FOR THIS VERY THING. I REPORTED TO MY INSURANCE AND ASKED THEM TO GET THEIR MONEY BACK. AS FOR ME, I OWE WAY BETTER PEOPLE SO THEY CAN GO TO HELL. IM NEVER PAYING THEM ANYTHING

It is a complicated Racket !! I can't believe I was sucked in to this mess !! I was never called for my first appointment....The site is just complicated !! I bet they are going to bill me ....BEWARE

My first 4/5 appointments were canceled for reasons unbeknownst to me. I finally began to see a Dr. Lisa Ekeanyanwu. I asked Talkiatry before the appointment to verify my insurance like they advertise so I’d know how much I’d have to pay ahead a time because this would influence how often I see the provider. Nope. They advertise “$30” visits. Each visit was almost $300. Once I met my copay the visits were around $70 after that. Cute right? I had around 6 visits with Dr. Lisa. Each medication she gave me I had reactions to. So I would stop them or didn’t want to take them anymore. When I would relay this to her she either said things like oh nobody else had those symptoms or seemed dry and frustrated that I had stopped taking them. I work full time and I’m also in school I need to use my brain. The last medication I only used for 3 days because it made my brain extremely sluggish. I expressed this to her in my last appointment and she discharged me as a patient. I had no problem with that because her treatments weren’t working for me. I had one session with a great therapist Michelle Vasquez who I wanted to continue to see. Somehow since Dr. Lisa and I no longer were going to have a client relationship that meant I couldn’t use the Talkiatry app anymore to get another psychiatrist or I couldn’t continue to see the great therapist I had started to see. I thought that was a bit drastic simply because I did not agree with the treatments of Dr. Lisa. It was a completely amicable parting of ways, so I thought? Maybe Dr. Lisa didn’t feel that way? So just be aware if you don’t like the treatment you receive from one provider they will cancel you from the entire app lol I’ve filed a more personalized and detailed complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. The more people that file complaints hopefully something can be done about this app and/or their providers. Edit: I filed an appeal before submitting a review. Today is the next day. They have responded to my trustpilot review but have not responded to my appeal within that “24 hour” window they’ve promised below. They also tried to report my comment saying I’m using personal information. No personal information has been provided in this review. I am on a review site to review my experience with medical providers with public NPI and contact information soliciting business and services. There is nothing personal about another person provided in this review so I’ve declined to edit it.

I am documenting this as a follow up review because I won't waste my time dealing with the shit show that masquerades as a mental health provider. I am a Department of Mental health client in Massachusetts, I contacted their help line and spoke with a caseworker about my horrible experience dealing with this place. Their care coordinators have no clue what they are doing, half of them don't even know how to spell nevermind asking for guidance on anything, the caseworker noted to not refer any new clients to this service after I shared my personal experience with them, fearing that Talkiatry could actually escalate an already anxiety ridden patient I have posted comments on Facebook which they delete or hide so people can't see how bad they really are, save your mental health and seek care with someone who wants to help you and run away as fast as you can from this disgraceful organization

Initial appointments cancel either the day of or the day before. The service is a waste of the last 6 weeks. They are the KINGS of wanting to reschedule! Don't waste your time if you are truly searching for help with mental challenges.
