Horrible experience ! I seriously don’t believe these people are the real deal. The supposed Psychiatrist I saw literally questioned my medications prescribed by my health care provider and rheumatologist (I have Lupus) and she put me down on the same day I was grieving a death in the family instead of just directly requesting medical documentation and reasons directly from my healthcare provider. She was uneducated and a bully! Then after calling talkitry and explaining what happened they deactivated my account the next day. They are scam artists! Scamming you and your insurance! I should have had read the reviews before! They are SCAM and should be investigated!

I waited over a month to have my first session on talkiatry, and within an hour I was then told they cannot provide the care I need. What psychiatrist really knows exactly what you have in ONE session? If talkiatry cannot provide the correct medications and mental health help, then why does it even exist? On top of that my psychiatrist told me that I would be able to access all the notes she took and show it to a different psychiatrist, just for me to try to log into the app the next day and have my entire account deactivated. Then, I emailed them about it, said they would answer in 3 days, it has now been 6 days no answer as to why they deactivated my entire account.

I had an absolutely horrible experience with Talkiatry and strongly advise others to stay away. My therapist barely spent 20 minutes with me, yet they charged me over $15,00+ for it! Every session was billed at a different rate, even though the sessions were practically identical. When I questioned the outrageous charges, they refused to provide any explanation or adjust the bill. Customer service was completely unhelpful, they just dodged my concerns and kept pushing the bills on me. It felt like they were running a predatory operation rather than actually caring about patient well-being. If you’re looking for real mental health support, go elsewhere. Talkiatry is nothing more than a money-hungry scam that will drain your wallet while offering subpar care. Avoid them at all costs!

I wish I could give them zero. The first appointment they scheduled me at 6am my time. Which means I had to wake up at 5:30 to do their questionnaire and then be ready for the appointment. That "doctor" no showed me. The second appointment they had technical problems and sent me a back up link. They even called me as they saw I was not going the meeting. I explained I was trying to use their back up link but it wasn't loading and showing invalid. Not only that, I could barely even hear this person on the phone but I know they didn't eventually say "if the backup link isn't working, we have nothing else, we need to reschedule you." I then got an email saying my appointment was canceled. Only to find out they chatged me 100 for no showing the appointment. IT WAS THERE TECH AND THEIR SIDE THAT FAILED TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES. yet they are charging me. So now I wasted 6 weeks of time I could have found care else where, but I also have to waste more time fighting this. This company is vile. Never use them.

Met with Dr. Bryce Cragg (TX) for help with executive dysfunction related to ADHD. Appointment went over 20 minutes because of me having to explain my extensive history. I asked for a non-stimulant, non-controlled medication that has no potential for abuse, but has significant evidence for helping with the exact issue that I am experiencing. Dr. Cragg spent the entire time ignoring my concerns, asking leading questions, and attempting to treat me for a condition that I don't have, with a medication that I was already taking. In a worst-case scenario, the change to the timing of the medication and increased dosage resulted in an adverse reaction that exacerbated and actually made worse the issues I was dealing with, and also caused me to lose sleep for multiple days. I can't speak for all of the doctor's on staff, but from my experience I will not be continuing treatment with the platform and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking actual care.

I scheduled an appt with a psychiatrist. He immediately questioned what medications I was on and if I would be allowing to take over med management from my PCP. I then told him I didn't want to just be medicated and wanted actual therapy. He stated he would only take me on as a client if I was going to need medications. It was obvious he wasn't listening to anything I said as he would "mirror" my statements with incorrect information. He suggested I speak to a counselor/clinician even after I stated I did not want that. I was then charged $264 for a consult and I have really good insurance. Overall, it was a perfect example of why the mental health field is failing so many people. If you want to just be medicated with no real growth or help then Talkiatry is for you.

If I could give a worse rating I would. There’s so many reasons to not use this service. I’m being charged $100.00 because I couldn’t connect to the system they use. Then I tried to tell them I couldn’t connect. I received the $100.00 bill for not connecting so I called them to dispute the bill and cancel the upcoming appointment 46 hours before the appointment time and date. It was the time I received the bill so I called them right away and I was told that I’m going to be billed for the next appointment because it’s not in the proper time frame for cancellation! Why should I pay for a service that I can’t connect with? Why should I keep an appointment with a service provider that I can’t connect with? This seems like a really big scam to me!!! Bottom line…NEVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE OR EVEN TRY TO!!!!

HORRIBLE!! Tried to cancel multiple times over a couple of days. Just automated misleading information with no one home to actually help. They finally confirmed the cancelation before the appointment then billed me for literally nothing! After reading the reviews here it was definitely a blessing to NOT talk to them.
