I waited more than 10 days for an appointment, which was approved by my insurance. 72 hours of the appointment I received a reminder that if I could not make the appointment, I would need to cancel 48hrs in advance or pay $100 fine. On the day if the appointment and 15 minutes before my consultation was to start Dr. Devin Cromatine Bodrick cancelled the virtual visit. I called the central Talkiatry line and recevied no help. This is an unethical practice and incosidered with patients

This service advertises itself for management of ADHD. I made an appointment with one of their psychiatrist, hour long intake to find out that they are unable to prescribe medication in my state. Complete waste of time and money, as I had clearly stated I was making the appointment for medication management. Then I pivoted to ask the doctor about other management recommendations such as supplements, neurofeedback etc and they were not up to date on any new studies. Truly pointless.

This place is ridiculous and their staff need to be trained on HIPPA laws as they have zero insight. I made an appointment for a loved one, I am the health care proxy. My loved one could not attend and the person on the phone kept telling me the verbal consent of my loved one is needed to cancel citing “it’s against HIPPA”. I asked for a supervisor that actually knows HIPPA laws because health proxy acts when the patient is not capable- never got to speak to one. Mind you they charge a $100 fee for no shows. They need to be educated on what a health care proxy is and what HIPPA actually says. It is difficult to cancel on line that is why I had to call them. 15minutes of frustration.

If i can leave zero stars i would. Talkiatry is a joke. My appointments kept getting cancelled. My insurance was verified as being accepted and talkiatry was in network bit i continued to receive multiple emsils saying they needed more information and my information was completed on insurance. I spoke to a representative at talkiatry and she verified that my indurance was on file and accepted. While on the phone with her i received another email saying more info was needed when she verified nothing else was needed. After 3 canceled visits, i went elsewhere. I have everyday life stress and i shouldnt have to go through stres with setting up a therapist appointment to talk about my life stressors. Talkiatry is a joke!

This platform ultimately hinders patients from having timely access to quality care. I put in for a change of providers and went a whole month and multiple calls before my request was processed and I was “matched” with a provider. This provider ended up having no experience in the area of mental illness I suffer from. I was stripped of having any semblance of control and faith over the care I received through talkiatry. I would never recommend this platform to any person who suffers from any condition at all

Before you potentially waste your time taking their "assessment", go to their "insurance" page and check your insurance. That page says "We only see patients whose insurance we accept, and there are some plans we aren’t in network with."

Wasted a full week of my time just trying to upload documents that I had to keep doing repeatedly for some reason. I did the assessment and entered my info and was given the choice of 3 providers that fit with my location, insurance and conditions. They all looked great so I just picked the one with the most recent appointment because I really needed to talk to someone soon. I have a big surgery coming up that is making things hard for me along with being on alert for a job transfer at any moment. I thought this place would be perfect for me vs trying to get established with a local office. I haven’t been on medications or received treatment for mental health in over a year. I however thought it would be important to upload medical records showing what I have tried with failure. I kind of having a feeling they may have rejected me for my medical history which if they would have looked at was actually old and showed various stimulant and non stimulant meds that never worked right. And if they communicated with me they would have known I’m on one as needed prescription for migraines. This place is definitely picking patients based on how much insurance will pay and most likely your medical history. I do not understand why I even got an appointment scheduled because it’s obvious they screen. I’m distraught as I really had hopes for this being something that worked for me and hoped to get a proper diagnosis as I had only worked with a naturopath before. I wouldn’t even bother with this company. I don’t understand how they are so highly rated online until I looked up this site. They just just gave me another layer of trauma to my medical ptsd.

A therapist who is self-indulgent or narcissistic spoke about himself, his divorce, and his ex-wife, and gave me financial advice, charging $600 for a 15-minute, useless conversation. His significant contribution was to ask me to name three things I am good at. Seriously??? This company is a scam.
