Don’t book Talkiatry. Charged $400 after insurance due to “psychotherapy” being included despite explicitly stating I’m ONLY interested in medication management (I do therapy in-person elsewhere). Was told “psychotherapy” also includes the time DESCRIBING the medications (side effects, dosage) I’m on in my first appointment & beyond… $198 worth for this line item :,-) Doctor was fine, but the cost is stupidly high and not communicated until post-appt with no ability to remove charges that shouldn’t have been applied via their call center.

I tried twice to set up an appointment with their providers. The first time, I received an email cancellation the day of the appointment telling me there was a problem with my insurance, so I called and had to reschedule that appointment. I provided the insurance information and scheduled a new appointment for the following week. Again, the day of the appointment, I received an email saying there was a problem with my insurance. Talkiatry made no effort to contact me to confirm this information before abruptly cancelling my appointments and instead just kept giving me the runaround on scheduling. I never received any written correspondence about a patient portal or anything other than email cancellations. I can't speak to the quality of their therapists as I never even got that far with their poor customer service.

Had an appointment with a psychiatrist who was really rude. He stated that he’s not there to listen to my concerns. He just wants to know what medication to put me on. After telling him what I think I had, he diagnosed me with major depression disorder, and prescribed Lexapro Then set an appointment for a month ahead of time. Said that he would reach out to get me a therapist. Turns out none of the therapist are in network with my insurance so they told me to find someone somewhere else. Since I have not found a therapist, I canceled my appointment with the psychiatrist. I got an email 24 hours later telling me that they have dismissed me as a patient and will no longer see me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Very unresponsive physician network. I want them to sign some important paperwork, and they just ghosted me

Made appointment for medicine management. First appointment was cancelled by them because they claimed my insurance was not covered. They told me it was fully covered and their business model does not allow you to continue without insurance. I reset the appointment with a different doctor after they again verified my insurance. I was then billed as a new patient and for psychotherapy that I can not afford nor did I request. They are the first to say they are about managing medicines rather than therapy. Now my insurance blue Cross states nothing will be covered and Talkiatry is billing me for nearly 800 USD. If you aren't severely depressed or anxious before coming here, you will be after they try to come after you for the entire cost of their "care". A class action lawsuit needs to happen. Talkiatry preys on the youth by deploying lots of advertising to Tiktok. This place is unethical against a very vulnerable youth population with mental health concerns.

There is no communication within this company! I withdrew after being treated terribly and then they kept harassing me to make another appointment with a new provider. No way!! They just want money and have ZERO interest in actually helping people. Oh yea and they just want to medicate people and don't even care to listen to what's going on. "Medicate and Move On" should be the name of their company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a bill for $658 for 1hr. An hr with a local psychiatrist is $300. This place was supposed to be cheaper because it's via zoom. Had i known it was this much I would have went on Better help.com. This place is a joke!

Saw a Geoffrey Sinner MD, tried to tell me I had autism within 15 minutes of speaking to him on the video call. Went in for ADHD and severe anxiety. Attempted to tell me I did not have ADHD despite being diagnosed and treated for half a decade. Multiple SSRI did not work but he went ahead and tried to prescribe another. He SCANNED MY INSURANCE FOR 10 MINUTES WHILE I WAS IN HIS APPOINTMENT, He took up valuable time (you only get an hour) to make sure he was getting paid. Now I'm out hundreds of dollars despite them covering my insurance. Scanning my insurance during the 60 minutes of doctor-patient time its clear what he cares about. This place hires the bottom of the barrel.
