I cancelled this service today. Please refer to my prior experience due to the horrible software. The Doctor was excellent so no reflection on him.

I was scheduled for 11:00 AM and at 11:30 I had to call because doctor never showed. I wasn't given a reason just told they would reschedule. If I miss they charge $100.00. WOW! I took of work for nothing!

Not only did they not apply my insurance that I submitted to them multiple times and received an email stating it had been received and that they do in fact accept my insurance and so therefore are trying to charge me $273 just for a over the phone consultation where the psych told me that she would be unable to assist me, but they are also attempting to bill me an extra $109 for “additional supportive therapy using psychotherapeutic techniques” which I in no way received bc we never even went over any therapy talking points or otherwise. The appt literally was me telling her my medical history and her stating that she wouldn’t be able to assist me. I’ve emailed their billing dept requesting they fix how I have been billed but at this time I’m being charged in total $382 (I’m assuming the rest is taxes bc none of this adds up correctly) simply for having a single phone conversation where they said they will not be a providing me services. Talkiatry is an insanely huge ripoff. Do not use their services. Complete waste of time and an outrageous bill for doing literally nothing.

Don't try to use if you're mental health is really, severely bad. I was placed with someone fast, but she said Talkiatry is "conservative" with who they accept and that I was "too close to a negative outcome for virtual therapy". Also blamed how I was feeling on my eating habits, which, yes, are pretty bad, but they are definitively NOT the major factor. Basically if you are really severely struggling, don't bother.

Despite being told "great news, your insurance has been accepted" at the very beginning of my Talkiatry process, by the time I received my first bill, I owed nearly $300 to Talkiatry and another $150 to my personal insurance. I had already scheduled and was seen by a therapist before realizing how much was not covered for my psychiatry appointments. Between my personal insurance and Talkiatry, I owe nearly $1,000 for mental health care for less than 6 months. Once my doctor found out I could no longer afford to use this service he abruptly ended our last call and never even sent in my refills for the next 30 days. I had to call to request the refills and whomever sent the refill request, sent it to the wrong pharmacy. I then had to call Talkiatry again, and call both pharmacies to have the medication transferred in order to be filled. For a service that is meant to help your mental health, I found Talkiatry to be extremely expensive, with poor patient care. This entire experience had a negative impact on my mental health. I would not recommend anyone using this service so they can go into debt for less than subpar mental health care.

Claimed my insurance covered and then sent me a bill over $400 for just the one session I had

The clinician often times never showed up for the appointment. She never reached back out to remake it. She would tell us she was running late and then never show up while we wait around for an hour.
