Company touts all over their website that they are covered by BCBS -- this is a lie. I have their BCBS' PPO. Talkiatry tried setting me up with 2 psychiatrists that were not in my network or within BCBS's local contracting PPO network. I have spent over 3 hours of my time the past 3 days to be no where closer to having a psychiatrist. If you have BCBKS stay far away from this awful practice. Cannot speak to any clinician, only staff members who have no clue about insurance and lie to clients on the phone. I'm lucky enough to not take their word and double check on the front end, but this is unacceptable behavior. They are lying, and then to make it worse, they try and get you in as soon as possible so you can get screwed over with their 48 hour 100 dollar cancelation policy. This is a broken system. stay far far away. I was a hopeful that read all the reviews and thought well there are good ones, maybe I'll be lucky. I wasn't. Maybe I'll save you time too.

From billing to clinicians Talkiatry is incapable of providing a professional standard of care. Medication never correctly filled, patient not informed of risks and contraindications, billing incompetent. Stay away.

This company, has got to be one of the most frustrating mental health services I have ever had the displeasure of using. I was diagnosed adhd as a child and have been struggling, I just needed someone to prescribe me a med. I thought talkiatry would be an easy and simple fix. I have been trying to disput to late fee charge and a full appointment charge from them. I NEVER saw a provider. The provider cancelled 10 mins after the scheduled start time. And they’re trying are still trying to actively charge me over 300 dollars for a cancellation fee and visit I never recieved. Getting in contact with customer service is also a nightmare. Take your mental concerns literally ANYWHERE else. This company has a ridiculous amount of BBB complaints. I will never recommend this service and will never be using it again.

Too expensive for what they offer. They may “take” insurance but will still charge you a couple hundred dollars on top for an initial visit.

I initially had a GREAT experience. I was able to get my anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder managed with medication that didn't have any side effects for me. Empathetic doctor. Easy scheduling. My doctor went on maternity leave and I needed to see a new doctor. He informed me that Talkiatry doctors can not treat anyone who uses Ketamine treatments and ceased my service. This drug is already stigmatized. It saved my life. I am not going to stop my treatment, which I've been doing for five years. I'm SO SAD and devastated. Absolutely no room for any empathy from them.

Healthcare providers need to be clearer in their questioning and recognize that even if a medication is effective, external factors and trauma can temporarily elevate symptoms. It’s unreasonable to assume that medication can completely shield us from emotional responses during difficult times. I still feel emotions and experience heightened anxiety and depression when faced with hardships—unless someone is overly medicated, which would be irresponsible. Shame on him and your platform for not ensuring that providers understand this dynamic or, at the very least, listen to their patients. I left feeling belittled and unimportant, as if I was deemed too unstable to continue with medications I’ve been taking for years. And that are the reason Im still alive. that they don’t completely stop every single symptom, that they make me want to continue to do better, feel EVEN better and become the best version of myself possible. Due to his unwillingness to help because he asked all the wrong questions and was not clear regarding his inquiries- I will be soon out my medications as I cannot afford to foot the bill for private practice care any longer. Which means I will I’ll be unable to work and quickly spiral downward into a dangerous state of mind.

Awful. Do NOT waste your time or MONEY. Terrible experience. Provider Was unwilling to help due to symptoms still being “active” even though I explained they weren’t normally like this. That is was due to the anniversary or my moms death and having to humanely euthanize my deaf dog at the age of 2 & 1/2 years.

Talkiatry is probably the worst telehelp organization I have ever used. It’s no wonder their Doctors end up leaving them. I had dual insurance since 2024, and up until January of this year I did not have a problem. Then all of a sudden in January they can’t figure out how to bill me through my insurance. This goes on for 6 months. During that time I had to my daughter see a psychiatrist 3 other times.. and each time they couldn’t figure out how to communicate with my insurance company. I had to tell the doctor I can’t see them until my bill was corrected in fear of accumulative charges. I finally had to gather all the Explanation of Benifits from my primary insurance and send them to the secondary insurance to make sure Talkiatry got paid. This was a very stressful ordeal. Now, they want to charge me $100 for being late to my daughter’s appointment. I’m a single father and have been working 54 hours a week for the past month. I was late because of traffic, and ended up logging into the virtual appointment 15 minutes late. By then the doctor (Dr. Cynthia Jency Sachidanandam) had already canceled the appointment and moved on to the next patient. The type of service this institution provides is horrible.
