This is a very innovative approach for mental Healthcare. The role of the Psychiatrist is very different from the typical model for care. You have an interactive relationship with the Physician who listens, asks questions and through two way conversations, you discuss and arrive jointly at the best options for getting better. There is a separate option for doing therapy with a Psychologist. In this venue, the Psychiatrist is there with you throughout the process. They get to know you personally. DR. SANTOS also calls me to see how the medication is working and any side effects. She is not just a person who gives you a medication and you wait to talk at your next appointment. She is proactive!
