I opened an account to schedule therapy. First of all, I don’t have the option to choose my therapist. I’ve never initiated services with them, yet in order to close my account I have to fill out a form in PDF format and submit along with my ID. I should be able to fill out a form electronically. Also, I’m NOT providing you with my ID. Based on this initial experience I wouldn’t trust them with my healthcare.

Fantastic Doctor, Catastrophic Customer Service
The doctor I saw through Talkiatry was fantastic, compassionate, professional, and honestly, the only positive part of this experience. Unfortunately, everything else surrounding the company was unbelievably frustrating.
After just ONE visit, Talkiatry informed me they could no longer continue care because of treatment restrictions related to the state I live in. Fine. The problem started when I simply tried to obtain the notes from that one visit.
What followed was an absurd, weeks-long ordeal involving hours and hours on the phone with customer service representatives who seemed completely unable to think beyond a scripted response.
For over 6 hours, I was repeatedly told they had sent the medical release form, yet it never arrived because they had already deleted my portal account. The same email address they claimed they “could not verify” was the exact email they had been using for weeks to send appointment reminders, portal access, and spam emails.
Eventually, someone suggested trying a different email address, and the release form came through. Then it took another 7 days of silence while I kept receiving automated emails saying the medical release form was undeliverable. I finally called again and had the patient portal reactivated so I could message the doctor directly. The doctor herself kindly forwarded the signed release form to medical records for me, which was more help than the call center had provided through this entire process.
Even after that, the customer service representatives went right back into the same repetitive scripted responses about “30 business days” and supposedly being unable to verify the TWO email accounts they already had on file and could verbally confirm with me over the phone.
I still do not have the notes from my ONE visit.
Again, the doctor was excellent. But the portal system, records process, and customer service experience were genuinely one of the most disorganized and stressful healthcare experiences I have ever dealt with.

Twice I waited for appointments that never happened. Both times I found out the day of appointment that So-Called Therapists had cancelled but failed to notify me. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORSE ENEMY!!!!

Bullshit
Went on made the appointment said that my insurance would cover it and then comes back and tells me that I am not in network and my insurance won't cover it so I canceled the appointment 3 days prior to my appointment I get an email to them trying to charge me $100 for a missing appointment fee for an appointment that was already canceled and then I call customer service and they'll say well we'll see what we can do No you're going to cancel that transaction because I never had the appointment and I have proof that the appointment was confirmed and canceled do not use this company they are a SCAM

Horrible do not use.
Dr Robert Smeed was 15 mins late to my first meeting, he was supposed to send a drug screening so I can get prescribed and scheduled a follow up appointment a week out. Never sent the drug screening never replied to any of my messages. Purely scamming my insurance company & leaving me with out medication

Do not use Talkiatry
Do not use Talkiatry, it is a scam. They will fail to have cost transparency, charge $500 for a visit, Bill you multiple codes in one visit that don’t apply. And this is coming from a medical provider. Avoid Talkiatry at all costs!

I would give 0 stars if I could
I would give 0 stars if I could. Not only was my provider extremely subpar, but the customer service is nearly impossible to communicate with. I have tried calling and emailing numerous times. All my calls are with robots and it is nearly impossible to get a hold of a real person. None of my emails have been responded to. The amount I was charged for only 2 virtual appointments (one being less than 10 minutes total) is absolutely disgusting and criminal. Please do not use this service!
