Such poor service. Everything seemed fine until 1 hr before my appointment. The clinician literally cancelled my appointment 40 mins before it was scheduled. So clients are responsible and will be charged 100$ for rescheduling less than 1 day before but clinicians can do whatever they want?? I woke up early and scheduled my day around this! Why is there no compensation for my time or anyone at Talkiatry who is able to help me. Absolutely horrendous. Turned off a new customer I will not be using again.

I would give my provider 5 stars because she was great. The problem is the predatory and misleading billing. They tell you to expect $15 - $30 bill and then send you a $400 bill. They charged my insurance $700 for a 1 hour appointment. I wish I could keep the doctor and dump talkiatry.

I had a good experience the first year, although I thought it was weird when my Dr left with no notice. I had to move to a different state, and was set up with a new psychiatrist. For whatever reason, they set me up with a doctor on the East Coast. That is not in my time zone. This led to much confusion with customer service and automated text giving me two different times. I attempted to talk to a human multiple times and they clearly had no idea what they were talking about. They kept pushing me around, not helping and not having answers. Clearly they dont know how to do their job. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that that was not an option. Because of them, I ended up missing my appointment and ended up not getting my medication refilled because of it. I immediately found a new provider. This place is sketchy as hell. They obviously dont care about their patients. Even their doctors don't seem to know what they're doing. I'm on a prescription of adderall, and the doctor canceled my appointment, saying that he would still be able to refill it.Which was not true. Stay away from talkiatry.

I got canceled on day of by my doctor but kept getting emails about the appointment sent to me which was confusing and made me worried i'd be charged the fee if i missed it. He had availability for the next day which is good but then I was scheduled on pt not est which did not work for my schedule. I never got confirmation messages for that appointment which could have cleared up the confusion and then I wasted time trying to join at the time i thought it was and calling customer service yet again to figure it out. still havent even been seen yet. edit - doctor canceled yet again so now i have to wait over a week to even meet and spent more time on the phone. the scheduler was nice but kept getting confused about time zones and giving me incorrect times until i clarified multiple times. thankfully i knew to question it this time

Tried giving a 1 star but you can’t write or post unless it’s a 2 which also virtually takes away both stars. $700 for first visit. The guy didn’t even have ADHD experience…go talk to a bum on the street they don’t ask for as much money…I just need someone to give me my scripts at this point…Cigna wasn’t taken by my old dr but his was $250 a session…also not great but at least it’s not $700 and being a company that takes my insurance

I loved the therapists I worked with, they were great. What I didn't love is that no one could tell me what the cost per appointment would be, and then they seemed to change with every appointment. My intake appointment was an hour long and $160. Perfect. My follow up, regular 30 minute appointments (with the psychiatrist) where we just said "how are you feeling on the med, ok lets try 2 more weeks" were $400 an appointment! Then she wanted me to do therapy every other week... $383 an appointment. My least favorite part was they don't let you pick people, they tell you who you're going to meet with. You give them your insurance information and then they picked people out of network for me so it didn't apply to my deductible or anything. Again, loved the care. If you have extra $$ to burn by all means. Otherwise, no one will answer questions about why the appointments are so expensive, or why they chose an out-of-network provider for me, or switch me to an in-network provider.

They stopped taking my insurance and notified me via email 2 days before my session and never informed my mental health provider. I canceled my 2 scheduled appointments with her and got a letter from her stating she was dropping me as a client for too many missed appointments!, apparently she still didn't know.

I am writing not about my individual provider but about Talkiatry Customer Support. They were rude, condescending, and insulting, and had apparently not been trained on the most rudimentary customer service skills. They actually hung up onme during a call in which I was trying to get an answer to a simple question that they could not manage to answer. I do not recommend that you contact them for help with anything.
