Absolute morons, they'd rather you book an appointment, wait a week, just to tell you about their legal restrictions regarding where you physically are located. Armando, if you were really a valid doctor, go to a real business operation not a scam like this.

Crystal Salcido should be fired
Crystal Salcido who hopefully will be fired once this review goes live was 10 minutes late to our 30 minute appointment. When she logged on I asked “Is now still a good time?” she said yes why I said “you’re 10 minutes late, just making sure.” She immediately said “do your doctors normally show up right on time?” which tells me she is routinely late.
I said this is a virtual appointment, people arrive on time, but no worries, let’s just proceed and she said NOW SHE CAN’T WORK WITH ME –because SHE is 10 minutes late and I asked her if it was still a good time??? She missed THIRTY PERCENT OF OUR APPOINTMENT. And she immediately abdicates and says I need to work with someone else?? When I’ve waited WEEKS FOR THIS APPOINTMENT????
I’ve never seen such a shocking lack of professionalism. If anyone in corporate America showed up to Zoom meetings 10 minutes late they would be fired.
And then to not apologize but immediately abdicate and say I need to work with someone else are you kidding me?
This is the worst “health care” experience I have ever had. Shocking. Because by the way, yes--psychiatrists start RIGHT ON TIME. Therapists start RIGHT ON TIME. Because those appointments END-- RIGHT ON TIME.
No customer service, have to wait weeks to get an appointment, and then this horrifying lack of professionalism and accountability. The absolute worst.

Taking Financial Advantage of Patients with Absurd Bills
Charged $500 for an INITIAL CONSULTATION in which I was told that the therapist cannot help me. I was simply referred to an IOP, for which I am now paying thousands of dollars, and told I cannot seek treatment with them for 12 months (which left me with no choice at the time but to pay for the IOP). When I asked for an itemized bill, I saw that I was charged for an initial consultation (fair, as that is what I received, though I did NOT receive a diagnosis as the bill states) but also for "Medical services, Psychotherapeutic Techniques or CBT," which I received none of. I am incredibly disappointed at how a patient in a sensitive state can be taken advantage of and billed for something that was not even rendered. Steer clear.

On my first visit
On my first visit, the doctor no-showed and canceled after 38 minutes of the scheduled time. I remarked to the customer service representative, that I should receive a $100 as the doctor canceled AFTER 38 minutes of my initial visit. My reward was getting a $100 bill for the doctor cancellation.

Do not use Talkiatry
Do not use Talkiatry. They have no problem taking appointments, but their policy on communication is hideous. Do not expect to hear from anyone for 72 Hrs if you have follow-up questions.

Disappointing Customer Support and Poor Continuity of Care
I was a satisfied Talkiatry patient for more than two years and had an excellent relationship with my psychiatrist. Unfortunately, after my provider left the platform, my experience changed considerably.
I was reassigned to a new psychiatrist, and what should have been a relatively straightforward transition became an unnecessarily stressful experience involving a longstanding medication regimen. I understand that providers must exercise their own clinical judgment, but I also believe an established patient deserves some consideration and continuity of care.
My biggest disappointment, however, has been with Talkiatry's customer support. When dealing with psychiatric care, patients should be able to expect timely communication, clear answers, and meaningful assistance when problems arise. Instead, I've been left feeling as though I'm responsible for navigating a problem created by the company's own provider transition. Customer support should be there to resolve these situations, not add to the frustration.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that I genuinely liked Talkiatry and had every intention of remaining a patient. Unfortunately, a good relationship with an individual psychiatrist means very little if the company behind them cannot provide adequate support when circumstances change.
Mental healthcare requires consistency, communication, and trust. Talkiatry needs to do a much better job supporting its existing patients, particularly when those patients have done nothing more than try to maintain their established care.

AWFUL!
AWFUL!!
1- Agents who answer the phone can barely speak English - and they are supposed to help with mental health / medical issues? 🤯
2- Clinicians are non- responsive to emails & phone calls
3- If you express that you are in distress- and you then call back to say you are safe- Talkiatry calls your local police and police try to break into your home as a result of poor communication. The agents cannot speaking proper English?!?! Yes, so much for confidentiality.
4- Physicians cancel appointments- this is a pattern
5- Physicians encourage you to take steps that disrupt your care with other providers and then don’t assist you when those relationships implode
6- it’s extremely disappointing when clinicians get you to trust them and then they violate that trust.
7- There is no way to get assistance from this company after 6PM EST - period!!
I would stay away from this place completely….. unless you want you, your family, and your pets to (possibly) accidentally get killed by police unnecessarily due to this company and how they function.

AI Filter Prevents Patients from Sending Routine Communications to Clinicians
In addition to generally inept customer service, Talkiatry has implemented an AI filter on its website that prevents patients from sending messages to their clinicians. This has been going on for a month or so, and any words related to prescriptions, refills, or time seem to automatically be flagged as ‘urgent’, and will not send. Instead you are given an error box that tells you to call 911. To reiterate, no reasonable person would interpret this content as even remotely urgent. Since there is no other way to contact a clinician’s office, patients then have to spend 20 minutes on the phone with customer service and dictate a message to a random customer service representative so they can forward it to the clinician. The patient doesn’t even have a record of that communication, so they aren’t able to review it and ensure that the information was correct.
