What a terrible experience. The billing is the worst part. I had a payment plan in place, it shows on their online bill. The customer service has no clue what your bill is. They threatened to send me to collections with a zero balance. I had to ask customer service several times to delete my card. I asked for a manager, twice and conveniently the manager was out for the day. My doctor didn't really seem to listen. Do more research when it comes to self care.

Do not use Talkiatry unless you enjoy…
Do not use Talkiatry unless you enjoy surprise bills. My husband and I moved from Chicago to Massachusetts and picked them because Aetna proudly listed them as in-network—apparently “in-network” now means “brace yourself.” Imagine our delight when a single 30-minute appointment turned into a nearly $400 bill.
Talkiatry charged around $600, Aetna tossed in about $200 like spare change, and we got stuck holding the rest.
Nothing about this visit screamed “premium luxury experience.” It was a glorified check-in that felt like it could’ve been handled in the time it takes to microwave leftovers, yet somehow came with a price tag worthy of a five-star spa day. We certainly didn’t expect to pay this much out of pocket for an in-network provider, especially for what amounted to a brief telehealth cameo driven by bureaucratic nonsense.
If you’re trusting your insurance directory, maybe have a healthy dose of skepticism. Double, triple, and possibly hire a detective to confirm what you’ll actually owe before scheduling. Our experience was beyond disappointing—it was borderline absurd—and we will absolutely not be making the mistake of trusting this provider again.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Had an appointment set for 8:30am and had to work at 9am, the doctor never even showed up for my appointment. Called the help number, she said they would call back and that he had openings all day. Never happened. Pretty sure they still billed me for the appointment, that never even happened. I needed psychiatric care urgently for medication purposes, and had to resort to all kinds of things to secure my refills. This service is a joke I would not recommend to a single person ever. I’ve never once written a review for anything, had such a horrible experience that I felt it was necessary. Stay far away.

New Patient to No User Found
Created a first patient appointment with this practice. Access to portal and messaged the psychologist in advance regarding the specifics of my appointment. Got an email that to the provider had responded to my message on the portal. Apparently they canceled my appointment and this is only an assumption because I'm trying to access the account and I'm suddenly not listed as a patient anymore so I can't access the response that the provider sent me. So I'm guessing if they cancel your appointment before you get to read your message you're to
self assume that you can't be helped at this practice. They need to allow people even with canceled appointments especially first-time patients reaching out to the provider in advance to be able to read the correspondence back without having issues.

This is a scam
This is a scam, do not do this. They will get you in touch with the doctor that's not what you're looking for even if you don't go through with it, they'll call you and solicit you telling you that it's not going to cost you any money which it will cost you over $200. This is a scam, this is a scam. This is a scam. You will still have to go to the doctor if you're looking for any kind of medication, just go to the doctor because they can't actually give it. On top of charging insurance company over two hundred dollars for a less than twenty five minute conversation with a person , you didn't really want to talk to anyways about something you didn't even call.about

Want your psychiatrist to be late to…
Want your psychiatrist to be late to every appointment and never respond to you in the portal, and for small talk to be billed as an extra $100 of "therapeutic services"? Then Talkiatry is the place for you!

I am writing to share my experience…
I am writing to share my experience with Dr. Salini Dutta at Talkiatry.
I sought psychiatric care to address serious mental health concerns, including extreme anxiety, ADHD/ADD symptoms, depression, and PTSD. Given the nature of these conditions, I was looking for a psychiatrist who would take the time to listen carefully, understand my history, and conduct a thorough evaluation.
During my appointment, the call was ended within the first few minutes before I felt I had an adequate opportunity to explain my concerns, symptoms, and medical history. The call was ended abruptly and without notice, leaving me surprised and distressed. As a result, I left the interaction feeling unheard, dismissed, and unable to fully discuss the issues for which I was seeking treatment.
Effective psychiatric care requires attentive listening, empathy, and a willingness to understand a patient's circumstances before making judgments or treatment decisions. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. I did not feel that my concerns regarding anxiety, ADHD/ADD, depression, and PTSD were given sufficient consideration, and I was not comfortable continuing care under her treatment.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Dr. Dutta to individuals seeking comprehensive psychiatric care. Patients who need a provider who takes time to listen, understand their history, and engage in meaningful discussion may wish to consider other options.
This statement reflects my personal experience and opinion regarding the care I received.

Absolutely horrible experience
Absolutely horrible experience. A 10 minute conversation about medication over the computer is $500 bill. They are scammers!
