My order way too long to receive. Where does it say that it can take 14 day to ship. Unacceptable! Joe in sales was extremely rude and the guy in tracking hung up on me for asking where my item was!

hello, I have bought a transmission with sw and their cusomer service and product is really bad. I have the experience with a bad transmission they deliver to me and it has been over a month and i can not get them to come pick them up. I think they are running a scam on custumers. They do nothing to be helpfull at all.

My Husband purchased a Transmission from them during the Holidays, right after Thanksgiving, promised it would be shipped to us before Christmas. Nothing Before, Christmas, Nothing After Christmas, Nothing Before New Year. It finally showed up around the 15th of January. It was not even shipped until the first of January. We received the Transmission, our Mechanic told us it was bad right off the bat, he said it had just been pulled form another Car and all the wires at the base were bent. Our Family Mechanic refused to work with the Transmission at all. Scott was adament that we should take it to another Mechanic and he could instruct him, how to make the Transmission work. My husband took it to another mechanic and he following the instructions given, put the Transmission into our car. Immediately upon driving it, the mechanic told us the Transmission was no good. Needless to say, we are in March and our Car is still not working. Scott asked us to fax we faxed, to email, we emailed, he refuses to take calls from my husband and we have decided that this company really does not care about their clients.

Ordered a used Trans for my 2005 Honda Odyssey and everything went great including delivery of the Trans within 2 weeks as promised. My personal mechanic of 20+ years installed it. He followed the instructions to a tee. I went to pick it up last weekend in Lufkin, Tx. I made it a little over 100 miles and check engine light came on. I noticed it would jerk every now and then. I made it to Porter, Tx and pulled into Autozone to get a read. Came back as bad Trans. Of course my head is spinning and I am upset. I called and spoke to Scott. He told me to take it to a Trans shop and so I did. By this time my van will barely shift. The shop came back with same Trans code and upon further diagnostics determined it's a faulty Trans. I faxed required install invoice and diagnostic report 9 days ago. I was told I would hear from them in 1-2 days. My husband has called and talked to Scott (very RUDE) and left messages with the mgr and still no response. Do you not care about folks at all? I have no vehicle and have to small children. I have been bumming rides and borrowing cars. Like the title says, I am so tired of it and just want what I paid $1000 for, a decent Trans. I can't give anything other than 1 Star considering how bad treatment has been and lack of concern/response.

First off, I take blame for my rookie transmission buying mistake. I've definitely learned that when I make my next purchase, every step required will be listed on my mechanic's invoice and billed to me to avoid losing almost $2k. The main issue I have is absolutely no room for compromise. I guess they are big enough that they don't need me. That's fine, I don't need them either. These guys are smart. Very nice in emails, but rely on a technicality to avoid replacing a transmission that worked for 1 day. I've been going to the same mechanic for 8 years. He's done tons of work for me on many cars. He has installed many transmissions as well. He installed this transmission to manufacturers recommendations (And did NOT find a warranty instruction card that was supposed to have been included on delivery with this transmission). Called Alex and was told that because a filter kit was not installed, they will not honor the warranty. My mechanic provided pictures of the failed transmission and the filter clearly showing NO blockage. He checked with Toyota before installing and they don't even recommend the changing of the filter kit unless the flow is restricted (it's just a screen, not even a real filter) just a flush (which was done). Ok - I will take blame for not making sure I went over the list of items that needed to be done with my mechanic (but he DID go over a list of things that needed to be done with Toyota). He could have just listed "filter kit" on the invoice (and I wish he had) before sending to SW Transmission but instead chose to be honest. I offered to purchase another transmission if they would help with the warranty labor, but no go. This is stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime because I will NOT buy another transmission from these guys for my other 2 cars. I will go Anywhere but here. I'm out a total of $1800. Live and learn - my next purchase (from another company) will be done MUCH more carefully and definitely will be followed to the letter to avoid being bent over the table. If you're going to consider buying a transmission from these guys, make sure that 1. your mechanic actually RECEIVES the little warranty instruction card that should have been included and: 2. You go over every item with your mechanic and 3. Every item is listed on your invoice and you are charged so that if (and when) you have to make a warranty claim, you can show that your mechanic followed every step. Judging from several other reviews on this page, that might not even mean anything. I did not want to leave 1 star, almost left 2, but the fact that they won't even TRY to compromise with me leaves me no choice. I was willing to spend a bit more, but I was given the cold shoulder. Here is my most recent email correspondence (in reverse order from newest to oldest. Consider this fair warning (and keep in mind my mechanic swears he did not receive the warranty card - maybe he did, maybe he didn't): Sir if you read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions upon getting this order started, you would have seen that these parts needed to be replaced under warranty to be Valid. Also there was a tag that was on this transmission when your shop received this part. Here is the attachment of that tag, that shows what needed to be done upon installation and not all the steps were followed per your installation invoice receipt that you submitted to us. Thank You, Alex Black From: Michael Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2016 3:32 PM To: Alex Subject: Re: Fwd: That's too bad. I have 2 other cars that I will be needing transmissions for - and will certainly look elsewhere. I get it - you have your rules, and it's a great way to get out of replacing a faulty transmission. Thanks for your reply. From: Alex Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2016 1:59 PM To: 'Michael' Subject: RE: Fwd: Hello Michael, At this current point and time, there is nothing that can be done for you in this matter. The transmission was installed without a filter being installed upon start up. Per our Terms and Conditions for our Free Warranty of 1 year or 12k miles the Filter must be replaced upon installation. This didn’t happen so due to the Terms all Warranties are Void due to Improper installation. Thank You, Alex Black From: Michael Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2016 2:00 PM To: Alex Cc: Subject: Fw: Fwd: Hi Alex and Kyle, I would like to know what can be done here. Alex, Kyle is a fantastic and honest mechanic - if he says there was not a blockage then there was not a blockage. Is t here a compromise that can be reached? If I bought another transmission would you help with the labor? It seems that to make me lose $1800 here, everybody involved would be stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime. Do you all really do so much business that you can afford to let a customer go? Please advise - I can't afford another $1800. Please advise. From: kyle Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2016 11:49 AM To: Michael Subject: Fwd: Michael, Here are the pictures from the failed transmission. You can clearly see the screen for the transmission was on the vehicle. It is not plugged or restricted. you can also see the hard part that failed and all the metal in the transmission. I have looked around and talked to all that were involved and it appears that no instructions were shipped with the transmission. Toyota does not recommend that the screen be replaced as it is not a filter. They only recommend to flush the transmission. So we installed the transmission per the manufacture specifications. The failure was not due to installation error. Let me know how you would like to proceed. -Kyle

I purchased a transmission in March of this year. Although the transmission came a little late, when installed it worked beautifully for about 7 MONTHS. Since I had a 1 year warranty, I called to let them know what had happened. The manager Scott advised me to take it to a certified transmission shop. I took it there and the mechanic told me that the transmission was faulty. I then called and spoke to Scott, and he (Scott) asked the mechanic to take a picture of the transmission and upload it online. After this was done, I then fill out the online warranty and came upon the question of "Date of Installation" I mistakenly entered the date of the warranty claim (11/27/2015)instead of the date of installation (03/28/15). So because of my mistake I've been given the runaround between Scott the manager and Alex. Clearly the installation date couldn't have been last month. I've been told to go online and refill the application but whenever I enter my invoice number the wrong dates are already populated and there is nothing I can do to move forward with the application. I really wish I can get this issue resolved so I can ultimately get my transmission fixed... Mohamed Sesay

(Please also read Bob and Shirley's reviews b/c I have had a similar experience to theirs......but my experience has been MUCH worse in my opinion.) I have been dealing with SW Transmissions for about a MONTH now, but I'll try to give you the reader's digest version of my insanely horrible experience. This story starts almost a month ago to date. I ordered a 5-speed transmission for my Nissan Quest and was told it would be delivered in about 2 weeks. The only good news of this story is that I did in fact get a delivery in 2 weeks. However, it was the WRONG transmission. They delivered me a 4-speed instead of a 5 speed transmission. I called to notify them that they delivered the wrong part. After SWT did some research, they determined that they pulled the wrong part off the shelf. (....Which speaks to some of the other quality control comments you will read throughout the reviews.) So I was told that they would expedite another part to me ASAP. After I had not heard back from SWT a week later, I called to get a status. It turns out, my part had not even left the warehouse. In fact, it had not even been cleaned or inspected. (As you can see, there was obviously no rush or concern placed on rectifying my order.) The representative then told me the correct transmission would be cleaned and inspected and I would have my transmission by the coming Monday (it was Wed. or Thur. when we spoke). When I still didn’t have a transmission on the following Tuesday, I called AGAIN. This time, I happened to be connected with THE worst company representative EVER in their tracking department. This guy had the audacity to tell me that no one told me I would receive a part on Monday. After trying to plead my case that someone told me I would be getting my part on Monday, the representative HUNG UP on me. What kind of company rep hangs up on a person? This must be a family-run business because I don’t see how this guy is still employed at SWT. Not only is he rude and short with customers, but to hang up on a customer is just over the top. So I call back and speak with someone in customer service, tell them about my experience, and find out I was given the “wrong” Monday. In fact, the transmission was to be shipped the following Monday. The customer service rep promised again to expedite the shipment. I finally get another email with tracking information by Friday (the week before the correct transmission should be delivering). The tracking information stated that I should my order by Thursday, November 19th. I called the tracking company (not SWT) on Wed., November 18th to get a status of the delivery and I was told they didn’t have tracking information because the order was canceled by SWT!! (Deep Breath) I call SWT for what seems like the 100th time this month. I spoke with someone in customer service who told me that he had to transfer me to the tracking. I was like, “WAIT! PLEASE Don’t transfer me to the rude guy in customer service.” He said I’ll connect you with someone in customer service that will “take care of you.” So he transferred me to the tracking department, and guess who picked up? You guessed it, “Mr. Rude.” I told him my name and asked if he could give me his. He rudely responded, “What’s your order number?” I told him that I had an order number, but I was trying to keep track of the people that I’m speaking with. Guess what he did? HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! (Is this how SWT “takes care” of their customers?) I called back and got a different person in tracking (at least I think he was different…..they all sound alike and I can’t get a name). I gave this person my order number and told him my story. He put me on hold for several minutes while he researched the order. It turns out that SWT has no clue as to where my transmission is. I was told yesterday that they would look for it and give me a call back. You think I got a call back? NOPE. Email? NOPE. I even called twice yesterday trying to speak with a manager. I was transferred twice and only got the voicemail of two different people. I left my name and number for both guys and STILL have not heard from either one of them. So 1 month later I still do not;t have a transmission. My vehicle has been with the mechanic the whole time and I have been forced to rent a car. At this point, I just tired of dealing with SWT. It’s been a whole month, several phone calls, and many hours on the phone (many of which with Mr. Rude). I would just rather a refund and deal with someone else. I hope the guy replying to some of the posts below can give me a call, because I know for sure I have not spoken with ANYONE nearly as courteous as the guy sounds that’s responding to these reviews. I am giving SWT 1 star because they fit the description given for 1 star: Bad – unacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude conduct. I’ll call again today to see what I can find out. I’ll be updating this post as I find out more. UPDATE 1: It has been 6 days and I still have not heard back from SWT. I have left over 5 messages for at least 3 different managers. I left my name, invoice number and phone number each time.......not one single call back. Last week, I called and spoke with Alex in customer service. I told him that I was just exhausted with the entire situation and just wanted a refund. Alex spoke with my manager and assured me that they could refund my purchase. I got a call from my mechanic this week and he notified me that not only did a transmission show up, but the shipping company also billed him (instead of SWT) for the wrong transmission that SWT initially sent. Well, since I canceled my order with SWT, I told my mechanic last week to just try to repair my current transmission. All of a sudden, SWT isn't answering any of my phone calls. I'll keep trying and keep updating this review.
