Please, under no circumstances should you order from this company. I have never dealt with such a rude and horrible place of business. A few things I will point out. Never order if time is a factor. It took over 24 days and 16 business days to receive my order. Upon calling just to find out what the deal was and why my engine has not arrived, they were rude and inconsiderate. They had no idea of when it would be there and actually got angry when I kept pressuring them for information. The man in shipping had no idea when they would ship my engine. I had to break teeth to get the engine shipped on a Friday instead of the following Monday. After 21 days of poor and rude customer service. I called again to find out when it would arrive. The "manager" was even worse to talk too. When asked he quite angrily said " you will get your engine when you get your engine" and then proceeded to hang up on me. Also, big issue, if you decide you don't want to continue with the company and decided you want to return your engine. Under terms and conditions, you have to pay shipping and 25% restocking fee. In my case it came out for $600. That how much it would cost to stop dealing with this company. So remember that you are under contract My conclusion is this, it is NOT what they did, it was how they did it. This entire poor review is a result of their inability to have proper information and how they handled customer service. Things happen with shipping, I get that. Things break, estimations take longer , and so forth. But, the way they handled it was unacceptable. It could take 24 business days, but if they actually handled their service properly, I probably wouldn't be giving such a negative review. Very few times were they helpful, which made this ordeal and nightmare. Please do NOT make my mistake. Upon reading the reviews of many different sites and my poor experience, I wish I never ordered from this company. Over the course of their 35 years of business I can not even guess how they are still open. I would give zero stars if I could

I ordered an engine for a 2002 Honda CRV from SWE on 9/14/15, it arrived at my mechanics over 30 days later, and it had been damaged in shipping. For some reason, I'm taking SWE at their word that their "spot checks" were on point and it wasn't damaged when it left their facility. Either way, the engine was not properly secured in the shipping truck, it fell over, and parts that were once perfectly usable were broken, forcing my mechanic to rip parts off the old engine and put them on this one. I incurred additional labor fees, and I was without my vehicle for an extra seven days because of this mistake. I called SWE to try and get some reimbursement, as this is not my fault nor that of my mechanic, and the individual I spoke to (didn't catch a name) was rude, and simply told me "if you'd read your warranty you'd see there's nothing we can do." He was 100% unhelpful, and I flat out refuse to believe that "there's nothing that can be done." This is the fault of SW Engines, not me, and not my mechanic. They need to be held responsible for their actions. I've since looked up their reputation on the BBB, which I should have done beforehand, and I found that not only do they have an "F" rating, but they also have 370 complaints against them, most of which have been left unresolved. I will be reporting this fraud of a company to as many places as possible, and I will not stop until this is fixed.

ordered a used engine for Chevy 2002 3500 truck with 68.458 miles odometer . Received a broken engine water mixed with oil in cylinders , worse than the one I took off the truck . called left may messages , no answer , then decide to cancel the credit card , finally they replaced with another junk engine , second one got a broken valve , they lie when sending a quality control email , its all fraud , save your money and aggravation , I cant believe they are still in business , should be arrested or shut down its a total fraud .

I bought a Chrysler engine for a 2004 m300 that was suppose to have less than 70,000 miles on it. After The engine was installed I tried to activate the warranty (the engine must be installed before you can activate the warranty) I got a message saying I took over 14 day from them shipping the engine until I had it installed so my warranty was void.I tried to contact the warranty department but got no answer when I finally got them I just received a run around.. The engine only lasted 1800 miles a blew up!!

I would not order from this company (SW Engines) again and neither will none of my friends. Lost out big time with this company. My first engine was not good had to take it out and replace it with another one. Now this one need major work on it but this company will not pay to have it worked on. They wouldn't even give me the cost of taking out two engines and replacing it with another engine. Now this thing was setting for two years and they sold it to me without even starting it. If they had started it they would have noticed that it was not working right. Had to replace the throttle body because the one they sent me was no good. This engine has no power and now my mechanic says that it's the fuel injectors that are no good and will have to replace those. I have spent almost $2500 on this new engine experience and still need to buy new fuel injectors so that this engine might have the power I need. This was not a good investment. Now you say you don't run the engines, well that's not what the contact person told me...he said they had started that engine and it ran good...then when I called him again he said they ran it two years ago...what a scam. Have to install new injectors, and it still doesn't run good...very weak engine. With all the money I spent which was almost $3500 I could have bought a new rebuild one with a guarantee that it was going to be good. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I've told my friends about this so they won't get scammed.

Southwest engine is a great company to purchase from the order arrived in a timely matter I was very please with the engine I received thanks again Southwest engine.

Sent me a junk engine. Refuse to return my calls or emails. My mechanic won't install the engine as it is unusable. He cannot even use it for a core exchange.1-Significant amount of water in the oil pan. 2-Cams were extremely worn, and in a strange uneven way, also heavy pitting. 3-Rod bearings are shot. 4-Water jacket extremely rusty, pulled freeze plugs to find unusually large amounts of sludge. 5-Borescope found extreme carbon build up. 6-Mechanic believes engine had at least twice the miles stated, had been badly overheated, suspects overhaul with wrong parts. 7-Thermostat completely corroded .

The service was great and I got my engine in good time. It was freshly painted but I quickly found out that there was heavy rust underneath the paint and in between parts. I had to swap out several parts from my old engine due to the rust. After the install, now with 3000 miles on the replacement engine, it's still running great. I've had no other issues. I just think I over paid. Had I known how much rust and corrosion there was, I would have made a lower offer.
