DO NOT CONSIGN WITH THEM!!!!!.swap used to be a great site to consign with but over the past few months have become terrible. I have boxes sent in in early June which have still not been processed. They have cut their commissions for the seller drastically. In many cases from 70% to 30%. Not worth your time.Summer items sent in at the beginning of the season are not even online yet...not much of a chance of selling them now.

Up until recently, Swap.com was a great site. It has gone completely down hill. They are taking 3 months or longer to process items. Their quality control measures are completely arbitrary. They've rejected items I've sent in that were brand new and still had the tags on it or listed them as "fair condition." It's impossible to get anything more than a canned response. STAY AWAY.

Everything I ordered was in good condition and packaged nicely. All items were clean and just as described. I look forward to future purchases of the clothes my family needs with confidence.

This company has changed hands and changed policies numerous times. They often take longer than 3 months to list items that are sent in for sale. I sent boxes in May that have still not been listed (today is Sept. 2, 2017). They don't pay as promised - sometimes delaying payment for several days, as is what JUST happened to me. That is why I've decided to write this review. Every time I ask why payment is late, they say they are experiencing system issues. More likely it's cash flow issues, because this has happened to me several times now. They changed their policy recently to pay us on the 1st and 16th of the month. Yesterday was the 1st - their company is not in Houston, Texas, and the 1st of Sept. was NOT a holiday. Like I said they are claiming system issues (once again). Now they are saying we'll get paid on Tuesday, Sept. 5th - 4 days later than promised and per their WRITTEN payment policy. They also changed their policy to keep 80% of the profits on items under $10 - this is if you want cash and not store credit (they get 70% if you want store credit). Most average families are not going to have high priced baby items, so you are probably better off having a local yard sale, especially after subtracting shipping charges. I am no longer sending in items. They don't list them for months anyway, so what's the point. I am also no longer giving free word of mouth advertising like I used to, because now they are a horrible company for the seller. Also, one time I almost purchased 4 tunics, but I changed my mind and took them out of my online basket. Literally, for months afterwards I kept getting e-mail notices that I had left items in my basket. So I would take them out of my basket again, and a few days later I would get another reminder about the 4 items in my basket. This has gone on for months (seriously), and I'm still not sure if they consider my basket empty yet. They probably have good deals for buyers that aren't close to a local thrift store, but since I am I don't purchase from them. And I DEFINITELY don't suggest that anyone sell to them.

I placed an order with Swap.com for the first time as a result of an online promotion. Something I will be loathed to do again. The items I ordered arrived damaged & reeked of some unidentifiable odor. The return process didn't allow me to say "Items reeked of clothes" so I listed this complaint in the notes which were apparently ignored. Swap.com will not refund my money but issued me store credit despite repeated requests for a full refund. The items were unusable in their condition and I do not trust the company in order to WANT to order from them again. I feel that they do not listen to complaints and normally am not the type to leave a review of products/company but I am finding this whole thing such a hassle (despite their "hassle free" claims!) that I feel compelled to warn others that if you don't like your order, you're basically screwed!
