If you are going solar -do it with Sunpower!!!
I was quoted a competitive price for the installation of 42 solar panels on my home. The work took place expeditiously and with a well-organized crew. They kept their word on everything! My panels are producing over 100% of the energy needed to power my home and I can monitor their performance daily. Going solar is one of the best decisions any homeowner could ever make. Doing it with the a company that keeps their word and takes care of you AFTER the installation -matters…
Thank you Sunpower :-)!
Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!

Terrible procrastinators
I have already filed a complaint on BBB because the project co-ordinator team took 3 months to design the solar panel, sunpower actually assigns an escalation team member to me, just to ask to understand the situation. Now the installation is finally done in October, and the again the project coordinator just won't submit the interconnection application to my utility company. He promises it's just a simple typo, and would be done by the week, and he never fulfills his promise.
Updated: 11/14/2022
Last Friday, 11/11/2022 the project coordination call center representative told me he just talked to my PC that the application has been submitted that day, since it was veterans day, I wasn’t able to verify with SCE. Today, I called SCE and the interconnection application was still NOT submitted. Now they went from inability to deliver on promised time to simply lying about the fact. Now I tend to believe the typo was also an excuse/lie, because it can’t take several weeks to fix a typo. Integrity is the pillar of a business, I honestly can’t believe what I have encountered.

Not impressed and quite disappointed
Not impressed and quite disappointed. Bought a brand new build not even a year ago with solar suppled by SunPower and production is down by a third causing my power build to double and at times triple. Their customer service is a joke. I’ve called countless times either wait on hold for hours or they give you the run around. I’ve asked about what was going on with the deteriorating production. The answers range from a system upgrade, buy more panels from us (even though the ones I have are not working apparently), oh but our battery, or software upgrade, oh wait another month or two. Meanwhile my build keeps rising and my productivity is down. What a waste of time and $10k. There’s got to be better company out there.

Horrible Customer Service
When we first began this process with sunpower, we were sold. Everything was going smoothly. We scheduled installation, which was supposed to be last Tuesday and Wednesday. It was supposedly "too rainy" to start on Tuesday so they started Wednesday. During the day, that crew even mentioned they had worked in the rain, but apparently, our regularly scheduled crew did not. At the end of the day, they stated someone will be in contact with you to possibly come back Thursday or Friday to finish installation. No one came Thursday or called so I called and explained my concerns. No apology or understanding was given. I was also advised that they may not be able to come back Friday. They left equipment in my backyard and I have 4 dogs. They were told that they will need to come get their equipment if they could not come out Friday. This did not happen. I wrote an email Friday evening to my Project Manager, Sales person, and the CEO to which I have not received any response back from. They did call my mom and stated they would come out Monday (today). However, my dogs did get into their paper they left and who knows what else. The lack of communication and customer service is beyond aggravating. They also dropped a number of screws/little equipment pieces on our driveway that could puncture our tires. They want us to refer others, but if this is the experience I have received, I do not want anyone I know to go through this either. They should acknowledge, and apology. Oh! Also, when they called to tell my mom they would be back Monday, our PM also stated that they were booked out for weeks, but someone canceled and they could get us in on Monday. That is completely unacceptable. I understand no one can control the weather or illness, but we scheduled our install way before and in my opinion, the installations they had on Thursday/Friday should have been pushed out considering we were to start. They just expected us to sit around for 5 days at home waiting for them. We all work and live busy lives. This is horrible to do to people. Be respectful. FYI, still no response from them.

Hi Kimmy, we apologize for any inconvenience and have reached out to your case manager with your concerns. Your case manager tried to call you and was unable to reach you but was able to contact the account owner. We are happy to see the crew returned yesterday and finished the installation and is currently waiting on the final inspection to activate the system. You may reach out to your case manager with any further questions or concerns and they will be happy to assist you. A request for further information was also sent to you through Trustpilot in case you had an additional phone number where you could be reached. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for helping us change the way our world is powered!

Stay Away from SunPower - customer service is TERRIBLE
I had SunPower solar installed in 2016. I did not have any issues for the first couple years, and even had parts installed unbeknownst to me because the power output was not what was promised to be for their twenty year guarantee. I recently discovered that my electricity company (So Cal Edison) has billed me for more than 2,000 kWh than what SunPower has alleged I have used. I have emailed them the discrepancies in the power being billed vs what is used via their system and have received no response in a week (Ticket #03013710). When I called to speak to someone I was told my system is performing as expected. Customer service is awful - stay away.

I had a problem with having my phone…
I had a problem with having my phone app receiving reports. It took five weeks before they sent a technician to my home to take a look. He managed to get it up and running. An hour after he left I had the same problem.
It is now five weeks and four emails (I have yet to get a response), I called and they do not seem to have my email address correct, my phone number, etc. It is like I am dealing with a totally new company. There help line is worthless
