So far so good
Ryan K. was helpful and friendly. Activation of panels went smoothly. Will see how well this works in the coming months.

Read before you sing a lease agreement!!!
The process of leasing the system was great. They all work very hard for my business. However, once the system starts to malfunction, nobody cares. A couple of years ago my system was down for 6 months, yes I got reimbursed for 'Non-performance", but at a much lower rate than what I actually paid to Edison company.
Update: the system still down since February 1, 2023 - SunPower only cares about collecting the monthly lease payment...beware!

Great work Warren
Warren was very polite and helpful with the entire installation process. Getting connected was seamless and exactly how he described it would be. Getting everything set up on the app after all the installation was complete was quick and thorough. He left with me feeling confident with my system and how everything works.

Panels just got activated!
I got my solar panels activated this week by Ryan K and it was a great experience. Even though I wasn't scheduled until a week later, he happened to be in the area and knocked on my door to see if I would like to get my panels activated sooner. I'd been waiting on the electric company to approve my panels for over a month, and was super eager to get it started, so yes! Ryan was professional and patiently answered all my questions. The app is visually appealing and very satisfying to use. I'm very satisfied with SunPower, would recommend!

Do not by their products
Do not by their products . When you need a part replaced or repaired they do not respond . They have hired subcontractors to do the work but nothing ever happens We have been without any solar for months & have called them multiple times . They tell us they will email the cost & when the work will be done but we never get any email . I think their plan is to have us go to another company so our warranty would voided . Just found out after all these months of aggravation that Sunpower canceled our project . Took weeks to find this out . Could it be because of this review . Their customer service agents try to answer question , are very polite & try to help , but they are limited to what they can do for you & try to answer your questions . It's not like Sunpower has to pay for the work or equipment it is all coming from us . Just want the work done like we were told it would be .

Awful dishonest company
Here’s a quick recap
1. We purchased Solar a little over two years ago, Sunpower knew we had a budget and decided to just stick whatever panels would fit our budget, but not taking into account our true energy needs.
2. After sunpower got the permits and placed the panels on our roof, they forgot to turn on the power switch, so we incurred large bills for that entire summer, because the solar wasn’t on and we never knew it.
The following summer we received another large bill for using their (SCE) grid. Because Solar wasn’t active, and we were using the grid. We got a very large usage charge.
3. After realizing that Sunpower put the wrong number of panels on a roof, we had to purchase out of pocket three additional panels.
The representative from Sunpower, who is working on it, lost the paperwork, never got the permit, and so we paid upfront for panels that we were supposed to receive within two months, but which took over eight months to arrive. So again we received larger bills from Southern California Edison, as well as having to pay the Solar bill.
Then, after writing a bad review on Sunpower, I heard back from one of their dispute resolution employees who said that they would give us $300 as compensation. I thought that was a joke, considering everything we went through, but that being said they never even sent the $300 that they promised us in writing. Horrible company!!

Terminating an initial contract
Signed a contract leasing with SunPower March 14, 2023 via DocuSign. Also signed the NEM documents to send to my electric company (SDGE). Sales rep was from Burmax Solar Energy. Changed my mind on leasing and signed the Termination of Home Improvement Contract via DocuSign March 15, 2023. It said on the document that “Contractor accepts this Termination”
SunPower still needs to sign their part of the document.
It is now the 3rd day and I’m worried if this contract is really terminated. I tried to reach out to SunPower on their termination process twice. Ask the customer representative what their process is on terminating contracts that nothing has really transpired. She was no help at all, kept on telling me that I need to call my project manager who is the Burmax Energy representative.
Like what I said, today, March 17, 2023 is the third day & have not received anything back from SunPower. Burmax Sales rep said that SunPower is extremely busy & it will take 24 to 48 hrs for them to respond. I’m just extremely worried on SunPower’s accountability.
