Mostly good service…
I gave 3 stars because I've had a lot of connection issues. I've complained a LOT and I think they are working on it! I'd say mostly good service.

Gee
My mother is 83 years old and lives at home alone. Her cable and phone are out about one week per month while Suddenlink provides little to no explanation and does not care about my mom's safety. No sense of urgency to service the 83 year old woman. They lie and tell us it will be on that afternoon and it never is. It always happens on a Friday and takes a week to get fixed. We are cancelling her service with Suddenlink and now it is taking them over a week to port the number to AT&T. Mother still has no phone and we are checking on her regularly since she cannot call anyone for help if something happens to her. This company provides the worst service in the country. I cannot believe they are still in operation. People in rural areas have no other choice and are at the mercy of the horrible company. They need to be investigated and shut down. July 23, 2020

We were told that when we switched to Suddenlink that not only would our monthly payments not going to increase but also that Suddenlink would buy out our current contract. We LOVED Suddenlink at our apartments and were upset when Suddenlink was not available in our new home. So when a representative was informing us that Suddenlink was now available in our area, we knew immediately that we were switching back to Suddenlink (even without that amazing offer). The representative that came out was very attentive and helpful (which we already knew from previous experiences with Suddenlink). When we switched to Suddenlink, we were told that nothing further was needed from us because Suddenlink would handle the buy out of our current contract. And with our previous amazing service experience with Suddenlink, we believed we were in the clear; we did not cancel the automatic monthly payments. For the entire time we've had the new service from Suddenlink, we have been charged from our other carrier. We have since canceled the automatic payments. My husband called a few days later, and after 45 minutes on hold, recieved the information that the paperwork for the cancelation of our previous carrier was required from us. He double checked everything we needed to do; I was then informed that we needed to call the Suddenlink Accounting phone number (516/803-6214) to explain the situation and receive the proper paperwork to fill out and return said paperwork which would be explained in full when I called the number provided. I called the accounting Monday, Wednesday and Thursday with no response. We both called today and were directed to an email attempt. Every time we submit what they ask for, we are told that there is another obscure piece of information that should have been given to us last time. We switched in January 2020 and still have not been reimbursed as of July 2020. We also pay for 1 GIG but have been throttled at 279.8 download and 51.3 upload. This has been going on for WEEKS. We now have to have a technician come out and confirm that it's their equipment that's malfunctioning. However, if it turns out to be us (we've had several technician experienced neighbors look at it....it's not us), we will be charged 60$ and no back credits. But we can purchase 'safe guard' to have a technician come out free of charge anytime. Suddenlink has gone way down from when we first had them. Honestly, if there was any other internet service providers in our area...we would switch ASAP. Long story short, if you can avoid this company, do so!!!
All.destroying
The worst company in the history of cable. Its more like suddenblows. I have been overcharged since 2019 right after my acct # was changed. My online acct keeps getting hacked and i cant access my acct. When i ask about my services they refuse to give the right answers. They need to be audited by the IRS because they are seriously ripping people off.

Is it possible to have negative star's for rating? I'm not sure how Suddenlink is still in business. Dealing with this company for the past 4 days, has been more stressful then moving into my new house! This would mark day 4 of being on hold for over 2 hours multiple times a day and still not getting any help. They consonantly hang up on you and have to transfer you to someone else for everything. I made an apt several weeks in advance for services to be set up, i waited all day (Sunday) and nobody showed up. When i called an hour past my time frame (11am-2pm) i was told "i suppose because of COVID, nobody was able to come out". I was furious and said i wanted to cancel my service and my refund back. The next day (Monday), i get several calls asking when i want to reschedule my service. I said again, i want it canceled and a refund. I was put on hold for 2 hours and then hung up on. I tried calling back and again never got to speak to anyone. Then the next day (Tuesday), i sat on hold for 2.5 hours on two different lines trying to get to someone to still make sure my service's were canceled and i was getting a refund. I then get one department that tells me it'll take 30 days to get my money back, when i asked for a manager he said he cant help me its a different department, then transferred to another department and once again he cant help either. I finally get someone to cancel the service and for 30 minutes i had to explain to her i am not happy and do not want to do business with them, nobody showed up when i made the apt. I was told they could give me a $25.00 credit on the account. (Credit on an account i don't even want with them). Finally a manager was on the line and we had to have an argument that nobody showed up, but they put a note in their system stating that they did. I was home with several other people as well, the whole time and nobody came by or even called. I asked for a conformation number for cancelling and he wouldn't give me one, said it will be in my e-mail. I asked "im sorry, you cant give me a number for conformation for canceling?" He said "no, it'll be in your e-mail." Then AGAIN, i was transferred to sales for my refund, over an hour of being on hold and then i get someone who hangs up right after answering. Now here I am Wednesday, on hold again for the 2nd time today, to confirm my account is cancelled since i never received an email and to get my refund back. I just don't believe anyone in this company is truly that busy, with such horrible customer service its almost impossible that they have that many customers. What is the point of an online chat when you cant actually get any help? I've tried that several times, which imagine that you still get put on hold for several hours to just be told "We cant help you call ******" *All of my co-workers have listened to this conversation since i wait on hold so long i leave the phone on speaker, and they can even confirm this is by far the WORST service you can get* I cannot express enough to NEVER use this company unless you enjoy being hung up on and treated horribly and taken advantage of.

I have made multiple phone calls to Suddenlink cancelling my service because I moved! Starting in February, No one has cancelled, or returned my calls yet have turned me into collections. I am currently on hold with a wait time of more than 20 minutes. Last week someone finally told me where we could drop off equipment up until which point they would not accept due to covid. My husband dropped off equipment yesterday. I have asked for a corrected bill for Feb which I have never received. I have call logs on my phone for all the calls that I have made. I am working and do not have the time to sit on hold multiple times because either they are understaffed, employees not updating records. I have X finity in my new home and documentation to support everything I am saying. After 48 minutes someone came on the line and cannot transfer because they are working remote?? This is a telecommunications company! This is a horrible customer service from an essential service. This is without even mentioning how bad the service was when we had no choice as they had a monopoly in my prior neighborhood! If you have a choice seriously anyone is better!

Very Not Happy. Bad signals on both Cable and Internet. TV screen freezes almost all the time. Technical support is absent. Phone tree messages are too long, and they have the gall to interject their advertising. I’m in no mood to buy anything. TV is entertainment and I’ve lived with bad signals too long. But I need the internet services for personal business, banking, volunteer work, etc. Kids complain about getting dropped too. I got dropped yesterday from internet during a very important online video meeting. Had to use cellular device/data to get back in. Am upgrading my router, but does that address TV Too. I tried calling for tech support but have almost given up. Tried the online tech chat, but finally left the computer after a long wait. When I got back, of course the chat tech had written “sorry they missed me.” So why have they not call me back? Bad tech service. Can’t talk to a real person, but they make me click that I’m not a robot. That’s a laugh. Shameful way to treat a long time customer. I pay a substantial bill via auto pay. Suddenlink is pretty good at taking the money. That never fails. If by chance I can get tech service, it’s probably going to turn out to be my fault. Well I am sorry I am not an expert. I need advice and willing to pay for it. Checked and tightened my cable, rebooted, etc. It’s not the first time I got bad service over the years. I have lived with bad signal for a long time cause calling tech support is so painful. I am now tired of paying this bill and considering alternatives. Make me happy and I’ll give more stars. Sorry for the rant, I just want my cable and Internet to work.
