4 sites offline all day, support tickets ignored. Live chat useless. Sites are down because they’re unsecure as your SSL has expired. Same thing has happened multiple times over the last 18 months. Appalling service and unacceptable lack of response. Nothing has been done to resolve the obvious issue that your system does not renew SSLs automatically every time

Customer support via ticket takes 24 hours. Chat is useless because they won't help you other than get to know that you have an account in their database. Their reply comes after 18 hours while you suffer downtime. Meanwhile, you have to pray that they will not ask you additional questions because for every question that you answer, they take 24 hours to respond. If there are 3 questions, that will mean 72 hours of your website being offline because the customer support is slow to respond to tickets.

Hi Tom, We regret the experience with Sucuri resulting in the disruption to your site. It looks like this was an issue of missed communication, as there are instances where malware is hardcoded into the site’s theme, plugins, and/or .htaccess that can cause things to break once removed. Prior to malware removals our remediation team does keep a copy of the previous site in case these instances occur, and we advise updating a malware removal ticket so our remediation team can reference that previous copy, to rectify it promptly. Thankfully I don't need to use them much anymore but when I do, it's a stressful experience. Had an email from my hosting provider saying that there was an infected file in my website. No alerts from Sucuri which was telling and therefore opened a ticket. All going well and Sucuri asked me to add some IPs to the allowlist - all done and now with the support ticket open, they seem to have gone off grid. I can't open a new support ticket because the old one is still open and no communication from them saying how long the process of clean up is likely to take. I don't mind waiting a few days for them to action but the lack of communication points to a poor service. The clean up's they do are fine but the whole customer service experience is unfortunately a shambles

Hi Liz, We appreciate your honesty and are very sorry for the confusion that’s occurred here. Hosting providers can provide false positives with their scans, or there’s the possibility of a zero day exploit in some cases. It’s unusual our system didn’t allow you to respond under the existing ticket (as our ticketing system only locks a ticket after a certain time frame of no response) or open a new one. This website is very misleading. I took a subscription to monitor my website for uptime, malware etc. My website is almost 3 years offline and I'm still getting emails every week with a report that my website is working excellent. How trustworthy is this service?

Hi Hugo, We’re very sorry this occurred to your site for such an extensive amount of time. If this was an ongoing hosting connection timeout or misconfiguration within the site’s settings, this can cause our firewall to not connect properly to the original hosting server. Meanwhile, the monitoring service will CURL the site and if it returns a 20x, 30x, and 403 for sites behind Sucuri Firewall this is considered up. Sites returning a 40x or 50x response will be considered down. We hope this clears things up a bit. Do not use this service, they deleted most of my website. They are part of Godaddy hosting, really bad service. Do not use - i suggest making your own website backup and if you get any problems just re upload.

Hi James, We regret the disruption that occurred to the site here. Certain malware can be hardcoded into the site’s theme, plugins, dashboard, ot .htaccess that can cause things to be temporarily broken. Our remediation team actually does keep their own backup prior to initializing the cleanup, so they can always restore any missing content for you. It’s important to note that reverting back to a backup can restore the site temporarily, yet automated attacks can still detect those same site vulnerabilities that occurred prior to the infection. We recommend ongoing protection to prevent the constant need to restore from said backup to prevent any further frustration or site downtime. I hope this helps clarify things better. --- Sucuri (AS
