They are harassing me by allowing a bully to sign me up without my permission.

This website is spam garbage 5 emails about if I wanted to "continue with unsubscribing to their newsletter" even though I dont even know this website, and never created a account.

I wanted to unsubscribe and it took me ages, I've never been on a platform so hard to navigate and find your way around!

Signed me up for subscription without my approval. No cancel-option. Refuse to let me delete my credit-card information. Substack sold a "1-year-access" but secretly changed it to "life-time auto-renewal-subscription". Even though i have not logged in for 11 and a half month they charged me again without warning. Looked at my profile and tried to change my subscription. There are only options for more expensive options, no cancel or unsubscribe. It might be legal to do as they do, but it is clear that the business idea is to scam money from the users in a way that the user was not intending or expecting.

Tried to log into Substack to post a comment on one of the published articles of a channel I follow on said platform and it started freezing up and crashing everytime I do it. I put my email in, request the code for verification, input it then the website locks up to a perpetual loading state every single time I open it now. As a result, I cannot access Substack to read or view posts anymore because it instantly locks up or demands a login after which it freezes every time. I tried everything to resolve this problem. I deleted & reset the cookies in the website settings and disabled all my extensions and VPN many times over. Nothing worked. I tried using different browsers. Was using Chrome, tried Edge and even Google Incognito. All did the same thing. My word of advice: if you are considering using Substack to platform your content or business, DON'T. If you do use it for your content/business, chances are you'll lose out on readership or business because this piece of junk website will lock people out with freeze walls. It's absolute trash. Unreliable, buggy, dysfunctional and telling by the many other horror stories of the other reviews of Substack on Trustpilot, this issue is not the only one it's been having! Vote with your feet and put Substack out of business.

I've received Substack emails out of nowhere from some church pastor's podcast that appears to be A.I. slop. I don't know who that is, which means I definitely haven't signed up for it. So I assumed that Substack has not broken the law, but the podcast creator has (by signing me up without my consent). I tried to report this illicit and illegal action to the platform Substack, but they want me to create an account first in order to file an abuse report. The best thing is that they let me type my full message into the report form and only let me know that they won't accept it without an account if you inspect the background API call.

I'm a disabled senior and can't afford to pay, but today I got a shaming email from one of the people I follow. I deleted my account. I can't afford to eat let alone pay for this

I was disheartened to Google my own name and find a comment that included mental health information on a family member in my search results. I am part of Joshua Coleman, Phd's Substack group. Why would you isolate this stuff and make it available for Google algorithm activity?
