Power-based running feels much more effective with Stryd
I’ve been using Stryd 5.0 for running training and overall I’m very satisfied with it. Training by power feels much more consistent and effective for me than training only by heart rate or pace, especially in changing conditions like hills, wind or cold weather. The data is stable, the ecosystem is well designed, and power-based training gives a much better understanding of actual running effort. It definitely helped make my workouts more structured and controlled. My only real frustration is how limited some of the metrics are without a subscription. I can understand locking advanced insights and deeper analysis behind the paid plan, but not having access to basic statistics like time spent in power zones for each workout feels excessive. That kind of information seems fundamental for power-based training and would make the free experience much more complete.
