Slapdash AI wrapper d2c business, but can be helpful
I am disturbed by how heavily and relentlessly Strawberry advertises itself on social media. I am also disturbed by their heavy use of AI, where the consent is not always so clear, such as recording sessions and summarizing answers you put into intake forms and other exercises. The two combined, including its use of AI videos in its ads and how janky the platform can be sometimes, shows that this is a classic, haphazardly assembled quick bang-for-buck direct-to-consumer business model. Not to mention its questionable and difficult billing practices. But there is good too - the best part is the actual human coaches, which can be a hit or miss. And you are given the chance to try until you pick the right one. To summarize - the whole thing feels like a slapdash AI wrapper operation, but the humans on the platform can truly be helpful as life and career coaches. I would just prefer to work with them away from Strawberry's platform.
