This company was in charge of doing my background check for my new job. They were terrible. They couldn’t verify my high school information. I had to call my high school and get the information to them that basically they didn’t send the signed verification over in order to release the records. Then they “couldn’t” get employment verification from my current employer for whatever reason and I had to again do their job. They have a call center and the people don’t know what they are doing and are only reading from a script. I do not recommend this company and would advise that any company who is using them rethink continuing to use them. They need everyone else to do their job.

They do a basic search and when they can't find things it's all up to you. And if they can't find it (e.g. say a company that you used to work for that gets acquired and doesn't have a phone # published under the old name) then you are screwed. Also, giant gap in their search, if you don't submit the info they don't check and you 'pass' those parts.

I accepted a job offer and was told that I would be able to work in the next coming week. Two weeks later I have not because sterling hasn't conducted my background check because they keep asking me for more information, information that I never thought was necessary. I have never had an issue with a background check before because if I forgot to put something down they would find out, but sterling does not know how to do their job, I have to do it for them.

It's been about a month since I was offered a position. I performed the background check requirements as I was notified. First, they emailed me saying they need verification for my current job. So, I sent them my W2. Then, exactly a week later they asked for more information regarding my work history from another job. So, I gave them the information and no response. Then, they contacted my company saying I did not give them my current paystub to prove employment nor any other information. I forwarded them the information which I already sent weeks before and cc'ed my recruiter. Still nothing. Week3 of pending background check and now they are completely unresponsive. So, yeah definitely looking for another job.

One star is too good of a rating for them. They made my life a living hell. Extremely unclear and their customer service is garbage. Delays everything. I don't even know why they are hired. Disappointing!

Horrible place i have been in the same industry for 15 years i have never in my entire career had to deal with a background check company that takes 1 month to complete your background as well as emailing me everyday to send them the info they should be contacting as the background company. Going to ask for my cut of the deal made with there customer since i am doing there job.

I have a misdemeanor in 2013, I had been hired by a company (2018) Sterling's background check reports to the company said it was a felony, I filed a complaint (which I had proof it was not a felony)it was pointless because the company retracted their offer after the libel and slandering information by Sterling talent solutions. Wasn't the first time, I just never knew because I never payed attention to getting a copy of the report. I'd give a negative review, they cover their butts, giving them permission to distribute false information. Always request a copy.
